Fun lightly wooded course. Good mix of throws. I'm very glad I had all dayglow color discs as the shrubs would have concealed more neutral colors.
I couldn't figure out what position the pins were other than having a short walk down course - though there was no one else there so it wasn't an issue. Additionally, the tee signs and scorecard made navigation easy.

Very cool course, highly recommend tho is one! Lots of elevation changes, great signage which shows the current pin position. Rubber pads were a little slippery but it was raining on and off. Cool bag ... show more ›

Cool bag hooks at each hole and benches on every hole. No real complaints but did see some paw prints that looked fresh... Could be a bear which they had signs for or a big cat, either way, glad I didn't find out!

The first time I played this course I never got lost once. Extremely easy to find your way around the 3 mile walk. Mostly open forest with a long shot here and there, one is more than 800 feet! Disc ... show more ›

The first time I played this course I never got lost once. Extremely easy to find your way around the 3 mile walk. Mostly open forest with a long shot here and there, one is more than 800 feet!
Disc golf only, no dog walkers or people having picnics. I wish it was closer to my house, one of my favorite places to play but it does get hot and dry in the summer.

Played June 8,2012, I agree with Andy Lovell. Turtle Rock is the best course I've played to date. Travelling down from Tahoe, (Bijou Park & killer Zephyr Cove) I was blown away by the excellent tee pads, signage, Benches/tables, brooms & bag hooks and an amazing array of bichen holes. I believe it was 11 @ 777ft thru a Pachincho like forest, was a true par 5. The camp grounds is such a bonus. Worth the drive. I play in SoCal most of the time. I wiil make a point of returning anytime I can.

OK I'm biased, this being my local course, but Turtle Rock is the best designed, best constructed, and best cared for courses I've ever played. Excellent signs and score cards get you started on a course that rocks and rolls through the pine forest. A seasonal stream, true par 5's, along with some birdie shots make every hole unique. No liter, no noise, no people usually. Dogs welcome. Oh and did I mention camping in the center of the back nine for $15. Make the drive, you won't regret it.
