That being said, use the first 9 as a warmup if you’re an experienced player. Then play the last 18 for score. The elevation is superb here. The holes are well thought out and pose lots of challenges. Do not sleep on this course. It’s one of Ohio’s best kept secret.

And speaking of which...
I’m actually very upset this course isn’t rated higher in Ohio. As of writing this, it’s ranked #72?! What a disservice. Top 30 AT LEAST.

There are several holes here that you will not find anywhere else. It’s a truly unique course!

The front 9 are alot of fun to get you excited to see the other 18 holes and they just keep getting better and better the more you get deeper into the woods!

For me this is truly a polarizing course, due to numerous issues. Overall this course is good, and the potential is there for it to become great. Located in a large city park that is both beautiful and welcoming. The park itself offers many amenities for disc golfers to spend a full day comfortably.

The original nine are laid out nicely, starting in the middle field and zig zagging counter-clockwise around well traveled walking paths and park roads. The first nine are fun and provide birdie and ace opportunities while still requiring shot shaping and careful disc selection to avoid mature trees, and out of bounds paths and roads. Small concrete tee pads are on the first nine only and they don't contribute much. Most holes can be played as stand and deliver or you can use the adjacent grass for a full run-up.

All of the holes have wooden sign posts by the tee areas. Old basic metal signs are on all posts, and newly laminated hole signs have also just been installed providing all needed information. All baskets have tape indicating direction to next tee pad and there are some other directional arrows scattered about to help. There are some large walking gaps throughout holes 10-27, and some non-obvious routes to the next hole along the entire course so navigation is another big concern. It takes a few rounds to get familiar with the entire layout.

The middle nine dives into the woods with great elevation changes, tight gaps, and some impressive rock formations. This section is in great need of maintenance and clearing. You can see the potential of awe inspiring holes IF this area was continuously trimmed and manicured. Travel from tee to basket on a few holes is rough due to the elevation changes, bordering on dangerous so hike with caution. You emerge from the woods and play the last three of this section in a more open park setting with nice elevation.

The outback nine is my least favorite of the three. The terrain is similar to the middle section, but is in more need of clearing and maintenance. My biggest issue here is that after the first few holes it finishes out with dogleg left holes playing around a hillside....this becomes repetitive and slightly frustrating. This section needs the most work, but could also become very good with time and effort.

Originally played a casual round of all 27 holes, then visited a week later for a C-Tier Tournament playing two mixed rounds. It's worth playing, but expect some wandering around your first time out trying to follow the layout.

Normal sized tee pads, better navigational aids, a few downed trees here and there, and massive brush/ground clearing would propel this course!

If there were more/better signage I'd give a B+. No flow to the course at all. Besides that if you look at the holes 1 by 1 it's very enjoyable (imo). Some tees have little block/cement pads to drive from the rest are natural (nothing too bad). Front 9 accessible for all ages (all par 3s). 10-18 is a hike (literally) and very wooded. If you have a problem going up and down very steep hills don't do it. Personally I loved it. 19-27 is a bit more hilly than the front 9 but not nearly as hilly as 19-27.

this is a beautiful course. a .lot of open holes. the park is in good condition. i would give this course an A for the first 16 holes, the holes are laid out great. i played a lot of holes to short baskets[ which were pretty easy]..... but the only thing keeping this course from an A is holes 16 through 24 are not marked well. hole #'s on baskets and tee signs would definitely make this course an A..... hole 24 over the lake is awesome

The front 9 are short, open, and well maintained. There are a few trees as obstacles and almost no chance of losing a disc. This is an A+ course for beginners and casual play.

The middle 9 and back 9 are much more challenging with half of the holes in a wooded area and some steep hills to climb. B+ for the middle 9. B- for the back 9.
The middle and back 9 have lower scores mainly because they need to be cleaned up a little and need tee pads installed. Also, beware of poison ivy.

Overall, it's a very nice course that's definitely worth checking out.

Front 9 is really for the beginner or after work player. Generally open shots, a couple of luck holes (which I am not a fan of), shorter distance tees with a nice mix of skill required. A good score is -4.</p></p>

Back 9 is really where the fun starts. Beautiful backwoods with a fantastic balance of skill and finger crossing to get through some shots. A couple very short par 4s lead their way to an eagle here and there. A good score is par. </p></p>

The outback 19-27 is very challenging. Very narrow gaps for discs, up and down hill shots requiring brute force, and even a couple holes that open up and require long drives and nice approaches. Probably the most challenging 9 holes I have ever played. A good score here is +5.</p></p>

Overall, I would like to see pads in the back 18 and hopefully at some point some beginner pads as well. The back 18 can be overwhelming/frustrating for someone just getting started. Solid course though, but because of lack of space in some shots (just too many trees, 10 for example), par distances off in others (#12 needs to be par 4, #13 needs to be par 3), and lack of pads - I'm giving the course a B.

This course was built with everyone in mind, from Grand kid to Grandma. Top Nine were first built and made easy for all, the Back 18 is for Disc Golfers, the tree's that are in the way are there for that purpose, your skill will get you around them...or not....Pro or Am the tree's don't care. The fallen timber in time will be removed to make the walking paths a little easier. Overall an awesome course for all.

Front 9 is pretty open, allows you to get warmed up for the back nine (or eighteen) which are much tighter fairways and are much more difficult. Cant remember exact holes, but 21-24 (maybe) are hard to play because there are trees laying all over the fairways.

There are several holes on the back 18 that are pretty cool. Ravines, creek beds, drop offs, and lots of scenery.

I would recommend wearing some hiking boots, just because there is a lot of uphill and downhill walking, which could result in a sprained ankle.

Pros: scenery, hardly ever see anyone else playing there, some challenging holes for all skill levels, and variety of terrain.

Cons: Lots of hills... be ready for a workout (especially if you decide to play the back 18), holes 21-24 (I think) are hard to play due to trees knocked over in fairways, and the BIGGEST con: course layout! Its easy to get lost between holes and even though the hole makers have directions to next tee, as well as arrows on trees pointing towards next tee, things aren't marked well. The front nine is probably the worst, but there are a couple holes on the back that are hard to find as well.

Now that I have an idea of where the holes are from playing it multiple times, I feel the course is worthwhile and is actually quite fun to play. All the walking isn't so fun, but it is good for me. ;) Anyways, it is a unique course.
