Paid parking, which i'm cool with. Port-o-johns. Easy to find hole 1. And onto to hole 2 down the hill, to 3. Not sure when exactly the signs stop, but arrow stickers on the pins with directions to the next hole could be good! The course plays around a lovely hillside with oak trees, exposed rocks, poison oak, grasses and cattle. The views of Santa Rosa are pretty special. Growing up in SR/Windsor, and getting to walk above valley, with the fairgrounds, horse track, nearby neighborhood rooftops and the SR valley...looked great. Very photogenic. Wish some people would invest in the signage of the place and for better tee pads. Why members of this courses club haven't done this already, after a few years, not sure.. I'd pay for one<-- heck, I could build the signs. (I just might, and that isn't my home course.) Another negative, the cattle crap hillsides. I was there after a rain and it was pretty sloshy and muddy. Since cattle have grazed here, you could see/smell it in the water on the ground. On a dry day probably isn't an issue. Kinda nasty when wet.

The holes: Some good long holes. Nice uphill, downhill wide open shots, some through trees, up into and down out of trees, with lots of hazards and challenges, and a few seemingly easy, but challenging (with wind and bad neighbors)....you get the idea, lots of varied shots. Not a boring course in the least. On one hole though there is a dead zone. Property owner next to the course is against the course and the trespassers it brings, people hopping onto his land to get their discs. Problem is that he is right, despite us thinking, "It's just a hill. Will only take a sec. And no one will know...What's the harm?" But people NEED TO STAY off his land. If he puts trail cams out, easy to do, and captures images of trespassers, it could be detrimental to the course. A regular there said he had heard the course had been warned, and risked closure if trespassers were caught on his property. So....if you go, and throw a disc over the fence. Stay the out! Spend another $16 on your replacement disc. Call it gone, and don't be a cheap a$$, and ruin something good because you are selfish!

Enjoy the course. It's a nice one.

Fantastic layout for a course, but the course needs a lot of work. The grass is way too long there, (you spend half your time looking for your discs in the grass), and the course has very few tee signs. This course could easily be an A or A- course if the grass got mowed and some permanent signs got put up. (Also, it would be nice if the poison oak got removed). Great mix of long and short shots, though. I would recommend a higher fence to the right of Hole 16, too, as it is easy to throw over that fence accidentally and the neighbors are not happy about trespassers. We went on a Saturday and this place is hopping on Saturdays! There is a nice practice basket right by Hole 1 to help you get used to the winds that were quite prevalent during our visit, (you never get used to it). Nice locals here, too. One regular player from Oakland played with us for 7 or 8 holes and was a big help to us in navigating the course, giving us hole tips, and telling us where the poison oak was ...

I would have rated this higher if they had better fairways/ landing areas. Some drives or upshots were within the circle but were hard to find. Cool course tho, was happy to play with some locals, could be hard to navigate and would have lost some discs if I didn't have other eyes looking for them.
