Love the work being done at this course. However I really miss some of the old White course holes. Would almost prefer that those baskets just be left and make it a 24+ hole course. Most specifically the missing basket on old White #7 (over the gully, was such a pretty shot to hit), and then the covered baskets for old White #10 (over creek and dogleg left), #15, and #17. We still usually throw these, especially since if we didn't it would be a significant walk just between holes. Woul ... more

I concur

I have a few plans in the works to make some tweaks to the new layout. We appreciate what Andy Bruck has done with the redesign but I hear you on a few of these classic holes that are truly missed by many who frequent this course. Stay tuned.

That is exciting to hear! Thank you to all who work hard at making this a fantastic place to play DG.

FYI construction has been done for at least the past couple weeks, and Am holes 12 and 13 are back in business. :) Also, some great improvements going in, with bridges, some fresh teepads, and mulch. Thank you to Andy and anyone else that is working on these improvements!!

Anyone know how long the culvert/spillway construction is expected to last? It's currently taking out holes 12 & 13 on Am 18.

FYI, the construction also seems to be creating a lot of murkiness in the creek going through 14. My friend lost a white Pig and I dunked a white Ghost without realizing this.

Robert Purdon   April 11, 2022 at 2:02am

Good to know - thanks! I'll probably play Blue holes 13 & 14 as replacement for the time being. Then suffer through Blue 15 to get back to AM 14 (I usually end up carding a 7 on Blue 15, lol).

Andrew Bruck   April 11, 2022 at 11:31am

Stephen is correct. Started Feb 1 and is slated for 180 days. Parks said it's possible it takes less time, but with the weather the past month I have a feeling it hasn't progressed quickly.

On #11 gold there is a very active nest of yellow jackets maybe 3/4 from the pad hard to say I was screaming and running amok

I'll try and let Andrew know

I sent a note to the parks. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure anyone really reads here... I love this course, and though Punderson is certainly the best in the area (best in OH imo), I live much closer to Sunny Lake so I usually end up coming here on the weekends. Like the vast majority of folks (from what I can see) I almost always play the am 18 which is a ton of fun, but have attempted the blues a few times (it's great as a scramble). Some suggestions for improvements:

Really hope whatever culvert (or whatever it is) work they've marked off right by am hole 11's basket doesn't screw over that hole, as that is one of my favorites (even though again it completely kicks my ass).

I find most disc golf issues are easiest solved with proper disc selection and improved technique. Andy - Thanks for all your hard work.

Robert Purdon   April 22, 2021 at 2:27pm

Hey Bill, not really sure what disc selection and technique has to do with my comments, which were strictly personal observations/suggestions for how to potentially improve the course. Completely agree with your second sentence though - thank you Andy and anyone else that has a part in maintaining & developing this course. I truly enjoy playing here.

I'm wondering if the creek ever dries up near the hole 14/16 -- the island hole. I threw a metal flake teebird 3 there today approximately pin high, but right in the middle of the water.
