I thoroughly enjoy Stafford because of the tight knit wooded course it makes you actually consider your throw before you attempt it, not just stepping up to the pad and taking your best shot at trying to needle it through. The open holes gives you relief from thinking too much on those wooded throws ! PROS: fairways are clear an defined; not that easy to lose a disc (unless you griplock it, even then you’ll just end up on the next fairway which is clean as well); challenging, enjoyable even when loosing a few to hole 7 ; LOST N FOUND MAILBOX ? Like , where that come from ?! ; volunteers at SJDG are very committed to the course an it’s maintenance- CONS: some pars labeled 3- should be considered changing to 4 ( or maybe 7 for those who enjoy chopping down timber an fishing) small parking lot, but it works; longer pads needed on back 9 as you take three steps an your at the end. OTHERWISE, great course an it lives up to its name as NJs PREMIER DISCGOLF course!

It’s an A, not an A+, but I’m tempted to give it an A+ because I think it should be higher ranked nationally. Best course in Jersey and by far the best course in the greater Philly region.

Outstanding variety on this very well designed course. You’ll spend most of your time in the woods, shaded under high canopy. It opens up here and there to beautiful, sprawling fields and a few tee shots over ponds. It’s very difficult to lose a disc, unless you shank it into the water or manage to lose it in the tall grass (which isn’t crazy tall).

Small gripe: I really wish they had newer baskets. I’ve nailed several shots dead center only to have my disc spit out, which is just too sad. But, hey, man... the course is free! I don’t know who’s paying for this or maintaining it, but thank you!

This course deserves an A+ because of its demand for accuracy and distance control. A great number of holes (14) are wooded and require a certain tee shot or placement shot, while 4 of the holes are wide open to allow for bigger arms to grip it and rip it. The pond is a great touch to the course and is pulled for discs very diligently by the Stafford Woodpeckers, who also cut the grass and tree limbs that fall. By far my favorite course I have played!!

Very nicely maintained by the volunteer crew, who were out working when I visited. Very clear signage (including to next holes), mulch in appropriate places, clear fairways, etc.

A beautiful course. Very enjoyable with a mix of easy and challenging holes. Still maturing as improvements are made every few months. Most tee pads are pavers now. Several holes have long and short tees if you need more of a challenge or just want to play an easy round. The variety of holes is great. Lots of terrain for NJ, but no big hills to climb. I'd recommend it for people of all ages and experience levels, but the woods can bite you if your drives aren't too accurate. Very sparse OB so you can really go for the tough lines and not worry too much about a bad bounce. Most of the roughs are playable. Very few thorny areas. The pond on holes 3 and 7 will eat a few of your discs, but if you follow the course page on Facebook, you can see when the lost and found is open to get it back.

The porta-potty is always one of the cleanest I've ever used which has nothing to do with the quality of the course, but it really benefits the experience of playing here.

Despite being 45 minutes away, I consider Stafford my home course.

Great course. There is a large variety of hole layouts, distances, and difficulties. Some holes are fairly difficult that are lined with trees, but none of them were excessively challenging. It was also one of the more visually appealing courses I have played on. There is pretty lake in the woods and there is a nice open field in the middle of the course.

The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the lack of upkeep in the field. It makes it easy to lose track of a disc. If you're ever by this area, make sure to try it out; it is the best course I've played at thus far.

Great layout! Each hole really makes you think. The pond holes require good throws, a couple holes let you open up to a field. Very technical through the woods especially the back nine. The only thing stopping me from giving it an A+ would be a couple trees here and the could stand to be removed on a hole or two where your tee shot requires more luck than skill to get through the trees.

I was lucky enough to run into a couple locals Dan and Rich to show me the ropes, great guys. Wish I lived here so I could play more often.

Course is pretty amazing, ever hole gives you a little more! Nothing is the same everything is different from one hole to the next. Open, wooded, short water, hanging baskets, baskets on mole hills. Just about a perfectly rounded course to eat at your score! Well done to the group that put this course together!

I am giving an A+ because it deserves more than a B+
