The original course was established in 2002 by Carter Allen. This renovation came about after logging operations opened up the trees. Using a couple of the original holes and old fairways in new ways the new course also incorporates steep elevation changes. The 27 holes are physical and technical. The course is plays through beautiful forests and views of Whitefish and Flathead lakes on a clear day. This is a no wimp no whiner course. If you prefer a simple walk in the park Lawrence Park in Kalispell is we recommend playing.
The course is open from May 1 to first snowfall annually (roughly late October to December).
The course is on Montana State Trust land and requires purchase of a Land Use Permit. You can purchase a permit at State Forest offices or The Sportsman Ski Haus in Whitefish. Permits are $10.
The terrain as of 2019 is very rough. It will take a couple years to clean it up. There are currently 27 Mach 3 baskets in the ground with a kiosk and course map coming in June of 2019. Tee signs will be in by July of 2019. Rubber tee pads hopefully by fall of 2019. The pads are rough dirt until then.
The land is leased by a private Whitefish Disc Federation LLC and they grant permission to people to play. Please be very respectful of the land and the course. Please pack your trash, garbage cans are not allowed at this time. This is a special place, please treat it with respect.
