Monday Night Scrambles returns June 1st!!

Monday Night Scrambles makes it's 2020 debut this coming Monday, June 1st with a 6 PM start. The usual A/B pool with random draw will be used. Cost is $5 for entry, with optional $1 ace fund and $1 random hole CTP ($7 all in). See you all on Monday to kick off the 2020 season!!!

First league round begins next Friday, May 8th at Sims Park and will move to a different course for each of the other 3 weeks this is being done. Rounds will be allowed during a 4 day window each week, running Friday through Monday. Rounds must be played with cards of a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4. There are strict rules for payment, scheduling of rounds, and score reporting that are explained on the league pages and must be followed to have an accepted score. This is open to all players, and all payments will for entry and weekly payouts will be handled on PayPal. So check it out and get out there on the course for some "virtual" competition!!

Please keep in mind due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, all leagues and events are on hold. There will be no organized events occurring until social distancing restrictions are lifted. Please do not play in large groups at this time either. Limit groups to 4 or less. If other park goers were to complain, the city could decide to pull the baskets to stop large groups from congregating. None of us want that to happen.

With the recent situation in the world today, we have decided to postpone April's Fools. Hopefully we can bring it back as May Mayhem, June (or July) Jokers, or something of that sort. But in the interest of everyone's safety, this is the best decision.

As for Monday Night Scrambles, a decision will be made on that in the very near future. Stay tuned for updates!!!

2020 Sims Park League Updates

Now that the time has changed and we have an extra hour of daylight, it's almost time to get back out for leagues!!! Monday Night Scrambles will officially begin April 6th with a 5:30 start time. 2020 Sims Park League Updates

Now that the time has changed and we have an extra hour of daylight, it's almost time to get back out for leagues!!! Monday Night Scrambles will officially begin April 6th with a 5:30 start time. Scrambles will run with the same A/B format, with a $5 entry and optional $1 Ace Fund and $1 Random Hole CTP ($7 all in), similar as to the past couple years. Monday Night Scrambles should run through mid-October, with the start time being adjusted each month for available daylight. During the summer months, we will have our latest start at 6 PM, and as Fall draws near and daylight is lost, the start time will be moved back accordingly to allow for the round to be played.

Also, this year April's Fools will make it's debut at Sims Park!!! This 5 week wacky league will be held on Sundays at Sims Park with an 11 AM start beginning on March 22 running through the end of April, with Easter Sunday off. Random targets and obstacles will be placed on the course and many holes will have Mandos to change the way the course is played. Targets can act as Stroke Erasers or Penalties, depending on the weekly layout that will most likely change each week. This is a points league, and the winner will take home the April's Fools Champion Trophy!! This league also has a weekly prize raffle and other additional things to make it one of the strangest yet most fun leagues you will ever play. If you have played the infamous Sharky's March Madness at Punderson or any of the two previous years of April's Fools, you know how much fun this league is!!! League cost is $5 a week, with an optional Ace Fund for $1 and optional mulligans at 6 for $5. Mulligans are key to this league, as it is designed to make you work for your par on quite a few holes. May 19th will be the PDGA sanctioned C-Tier tournament, The Eagles Fly at Punderson. The event page has images of the custom stamp, and also a pin to commemorate the experience. The pin is an add-on to the tournament registration and is only available as a pre-order item up until April 1st. I need to know how many to order, so get your registrations in!
