Nestled on my grandparents farm in a quiet little neighborhood outside of Burnsville NC, Simple Pleasures DGC is a spread-out yet compact disc golf course with a little bit of a "ball golf" feel. It is this way because of the connecting "open" meadow holes that move you from different sections of the course. Holes 1-5 are set on a steep hillside where tight lines, elevation, and roll-a-way greens test the player. You then come to the signature open hole of #6 where a huge RHBH hzyer awaits you 350' away. OB lines nearly every fairway on these first 6 holes and the fact that each hole has a designated "lay-up" area the golfer is faced with challenges, options, and opportunities for gambling, thus the 'ball' golf feel. After navigating the more technical side of the course (holes 7-10) the remainder of the course emphasis distance with a lot more room to work the disc. Better save some energy as you come to the last most demanding hole on the course. A 1500' top-of-the mountain valley shot that allows you to max out a mid-range around 600'! less
