Top teir course and a hard one too, but not in a bad way. Always well groomed and taken care of. Not an experienced player by any means but because of this course I’m confident playing tournaments anywhere with having this monster in my back yard. Mr. Bill has spear headed this course into what it is today and will always stop and have a great conversation with the legend. Blessed to call this one my home course.

Fantastic 27-hole course which plays in a large "disc golf only" section of a big state park. The course itself is predominately wooded and stretches across several rolling hills with many shots facing slight changes in elevation. The course is wonderfully maintained with beautiful grassy fairways. There are 4 tees and 3 basket locations for almost every hole allowing you to make the course as easy or hard as you wish. Very scenic with tee shots requiring you to maintain your line through the trees for 300-400 feet or more depending on the layout you're playing. Course is challenging yet fair in that good shots are rewarded and a bad one isn't going to cause you to lose a disc. More open than one would think for a wooded course. Great variety of shot type.

This is one of my all time favorite courses I have ever played. You can tell it's gonna be a good the minute you pull into the parking lot. The isolation of the course from the rest of the park allows you to really get immersed in the experience. The beautiful tree lines and overall upkeep make it feel like you are in an enchanted forest. The holes are challenging and unique. Really tests your distance and accuracy. The rough isn't going to tear you up, but it does certainly make your next shot much harder just based on the angles to the basket. Very long and tiring to complete. Expect to be on the course for several hours. Bring food and snacks.

The only suggestion I have would be the introduction of more true par-4s, and a few holes requiring more shot shaping or angled throws. This should not detract anyone from visiting this course though.

Overall this is a great course and you'll be hard pressed to find a better one in the area (or state for that matter). If you're looking for a comprehensive disc golf experience, this is the course for you.

It took me a while to get to Seneca, but I was resolved to check it out by the end of 2020 even if I had to go alone. I luckily was able to get a friend to come along to play the whole 27 holes (which, can I just say that 27 holes is such a great number, I often want more after 18). The course is divided up into three 9 hole loops that start and end at the parking lot, making it easy to drop off jackets/pick up water from the car. This also allows you to play them whichever order you like (yesterday we started on 10 because there was one group playing on 1 with another group waiting, we came back to hole 1 after 10-18, then we went and did 19-27).

Each 9 have their own feel, but it can be tricky to find the next hole at time (I feel like we had trouble at 7 to 8 and we definitely needed to ask for 12 to 13), A lot of the time I was able to spot a sign on a tree that lead to the next hole, but could understand somebody missing these signs.

Aside from being tricky to navigate, the parking lot is on the small side. This is negated by having no paved trails through the course (the only non-disc golfers you'll see are hikers that are pretty well out of the way on the other side of the creek holes. I love that there is OB set up by creek to make deciding OB much easier. My group often decides not to worry about OB rules when playing, but when we came to Seneca we gave in because the robes kinda push the issue.

This is my home course. Having a course of this caliber 10 minutes a way has spoiled me. I have a hard time forcing myself to go anywhere else except to compete. Unless your a local (and maybe even then) you'll have a different course to play every time. The baskets rotate on most holes between 3 pin positions and there are 2 to 3 tees on each hole. Each loop has its own theme. Front 9 is tighter and wooded for the most part. The back is open with a little more distance and the fastest playing. The middle is the longest with a great mix of accurate lines, left side OB creeks and booming drives. You have lots of choices of throws to complete each hole but if you want to compete with the big boys you better have an arsenal of throws in your bag because certain holes definitely favor throws other than back and forehands. The park fee is only on the weekends from spring to Nov. Since Covid the course has seen a lot more traffic which is great for the sport but you probably won't get to cruise through like previous years. The course always looks amazing in large part do to the efforts of our course caretaker "Mr. Bill". If you see an older gentleman out working on the course say hi and thank him for his work or better yet give him a hand for a few minutes.

This is the best course in the DMV due to a solid local group of discers who focus on upkeep and maintenance. With multiple tee pads to accommodate different skill levels and variable pin placements to keep the course ever changing while offering three nine hole loops which rotate back to the parking lot for replenishment of water, change of clothes, etc, the course is a grinder physically and mentally while demanding every shot from every angle and every disc your bag can carry.

This course is in a beautiful setting in a state park entirely in the woods. Very well manicured course, with three sets of tees on most holes and two baskets to choose from. The design is magnificent. Nicely defined fairways with some being tight and technical. Nice gentle rolling hills with a creek that comes into play on about a third of the course. Shot shaping is a must and a few holes where bombing a drive is worth the risk. The signature hole 10 and hole 14 are gems as par 4s. Overall, a fun and challenging beautiful course. Benches, cement tee pads and tee signs make navigating the course a breeze playing it for the first time. This a must play.

This is the best course in the area. Multiple tee pads for 27 holes make it a solid choice for all skill levels. Some say the course favors the LHBH/RHFH throwers but as a lefty... I don't care. Trees will break your heart on this course BUT, I keep coming back to get better. I've played probably 50 rounds here and everyone I've met on the course has been pretty easy going.

Great course with some fun shots in a beautiful park. $5 for out of state residents and $3 for MD residents. Most of the tee pads are concrete; however some are pavers and uneven, especially on the pro tees. The course has lots of variety and is mostly open. Very few spots have really tight shots, but there are some to keep it interesting. Biggest complaint is that the distances between the hole signs and scorecards are drastically different. Would have liked the course more if there were more elevation shots as the middle 9 would have been perfect place to get some elevation changes. Also lots of holes were super straight even from pro tees and would have liked more dog legs (both directions), question marks, etc. to make it more challenging. All in all probably the best course in the dc area that I've played; however still not an A-rated course IMHO. Check flip city Michigan for an A+ rated course....probably one of the best courses in the United States if not the world, and appropriately dubbed the Mecca of disc golf.

This course is extremely challenging for any skill level. To score well one must be lucky or extremely smart with each throw. LOTS of OB and Water hazard. Small creek winding through the course. Heavily wooded, open, long, and short holes. This course offers a variety layouts. The park is really clean. There are no trash cans and cleaning up after oneself and others is highly encouraged. Many holes have low hanging cedar trees that will either snatch a disc and keep it or stop it where it is. Very impressive 27 hole course. When played from long tees to long baskets can take 4-5 hours.

Watch out for the douchebags. There are some guys who think they own this course. Last time I went a guy harassed me and my group for nine holes insisting we had taken one of his discs when we had not. We all dumped out our bags to prove it but this guy just would not give up. Found him in the parking lot later trying to break into our cars. Had to call the cops on him. So if you play here. Don't be an asshole, seriously. That also goes for every course. This game is supposed to be fun not retarded. Don't ruin it for everyone else cause you were too drunk or high to remember where you put your $12 disc.

Great course, one of the best in Maryland. Multiple sets of tees and baskets on each hole and 27 total holes. The course is located in a great park and has a professional feel. The entire course is mostly forested but with little undergrowth and some open spots. Lots of elevation changes and various distances throughout the course. Some of the tee pads could use some improvement but I've seen worse.

What a great course! It costs $3 to enter the park and it wlas worth every penny. The 27 hole layout offers everything a discerning disc golfer desires. Each nine hole loop ends back at the parking lot wich is convenient. The course is not righty biased given the amount of straight on and dogleg right lines. The front nine plays down towards a creek and trouble abounds e everywhere. The middle nine was the funniest in my opinion as it weaves in and out of the woods and open space. The back nine seemed to be tougher but I was also getting pretty tired at that point. I took a 7 on 23 which is a brutal up and down through open space then doglegs right very sharply into a tight wooded and tree protected basket. Great pads and signage and easy navigation between holes, along with the elevation changes make it an A+.

To add some perspective on the layout and flow, I would compare the course to Rosedale in Kansas City. Definitely a tournament caliber course!

There's a fantastic variety of shots here and the multiple pin locations make for so much replay it'll make your head spin. The guys who take care of the course obviously put a lot of love into it and the locals are friendly. If you're in the DC/Baltimore area, you've got to check it out.

Love this 27 basket course with 2 set of tees & at least 2 basket positions on every hole. It will test your accuracy in the woods. Some of them have tight and narrow fairways. Others aren't as tight, but plays along the creek on one side which is OB. Also there's always a risk of getting your discs caught up in the cedar trees, so if it's above 2 meters, then that disc is considered OB. Always very well-maintained...to my liking since I get to throw my forehand rollers pretty often here.

This is my "home" course and I could not be more thankful! During the spring and summer I am here at least once a week. Combining technical skill, distance and fortitude, this course is definitely the best one I have played! The guys who take care of the course do a great job. They just replaced a majority of the signs and they look great. This is, of course, a very difficult course, but that's part of the fun!
