Matthew Hull 23 - Regular tees, 9 holes "A normal human being would NOT have played any disc golf this morning/afternoon. But then again, I am hardly normal so... ;) Seriously, it was extremely wet and rainy throughout these rounds, there was snow on the ground, and it was cold making it quite difficult to throw anything very comfortably. It was a grind for sure. However, I did my very best and despite being soaked to the bone afterwards, it was somehow still a good time!"

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Simply unreal! On a day when I had absolutely, positively, NO business getting an Ace...even at Reserves, my Neutron Envy pretty much willed itself into the basket on Hole #6 for yet another Ace! It was raining like crazy, it was very cold, and there was a headwind and yet, I threw my Envy with the lip up a bit, hit a fairly high line, and the disc just kept going straight until it finally faded just a bit...right into the basket. I swear...that disc is possessed because it seems like it has a legitimate Ace opportunity on anything less than 200 ft. right now! I actually made a superb 25-30 ft. putt with my Roach on #7 of all holes for a fantastic save. As much as I love this game, I was HAPPY to be done after this round because of the conditions. Still, to get Neutron Envy aces on back-to-back days in conditions like this is great for my confidence moving forward! :)"

Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "It was nice to get outside after a long week of work and play in the snow for just a little bit before it got dark. Despite the snow and general wetness/muddiness/cold, I still had a fun time out there. My new rainbow-dyed Champion Destroyer sure loves Hole #2 as it came within 15-20 ft. of the basket...despite the chilly conditions."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Considering the conditions, this was a fantastic round! My Roach has strangely been solid despite the snowy/wet conditions. Mind over matter I suppose! ;)"

Matthew Hull 25 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My Cottonwood Buzzz hit a nice, safe line on Hole #3 and landed 10 ft. from the basket! The rest of the round was pretty "Meh," however."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What an unbelievable finish!! Despite it being pretty much completely dark and my hands feeling somewhat numb with my disc being ice-y and wet...despite ALL that, I tossed my Neutron Envy on #9 and couldn't see it well but I heard it nail the chains! It wasn't until I walked up to the basket that I knew for sure that I had aced the hole but that is precisely what happened. WOW!! Not to be forgotten in the Ace hubbub was that my Neutron Envy hit a superb line on #3 (went over the tree to the right and somewhat faded just perfectly) and landed 10 ft. from the basket!"

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I definitely didn't throw as well today as I did yesterday but I still managed to have a couple solid rounds. I threw my Neutron Envy quite a bit this particular round. :)"
-5
Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My brand new rainbow dyed Champion Destroyer nearly made history! On my first ever throw with this disc, it hit a sweet line on Hole #2 and hit chains but didn't stick! SO CLOSE!! I went with it again on #3 and it hit a nice line but flew a couple of feet to the left of the basket. I do love Destroyers in general and this one already feels like a winner!"

Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I wish that my 1000th recorded round of disc golf was more significant than this but it was another pedestrian performance @ Reserves. I made a nice 20-25 ft. Roach on #9 in any case!"
-7
Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "On a day when my putting was pretty mediocre overall, it was nice to hit a 40-50 ft. jump on #8 to snag a birdie there! My Inertia drive was decent but, due to the wind being exactly the opposite of what it was yesterday, all of my drives on #8 faded more than normal...even with my understable discs!"

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "It finally happened!! I got out of the car, walked up to Hole #1, calmly threw my Neutron Envy against the wind, and watched my throw hit a super straight line right into the chains for the ultra rare "Out of the Car" Ace!!! It was SO cool and I thought about leaving my disc in the basket and driving off into the sunset yet...no. Not when that disc is so hot for me right now! :) I always dreamed of doing that and to actually pull it off...it was quite surreal for sure. I did struggle on the next couple of holes but finished very strong. I threw my new Orion disc on #8 and then made a really sweet 35 ft. putt for a nice birdie. My Neutron Envy hit some excellent lines on the other holes as well. What is really cool is that my final throw on New Year's Day was my Falcon Servo which hit the Ace. To come out four days later and for my first throw on #1 to go in...that's two straight throws going in the basket for the Ace! I don't think I have EVER done that before! :)"

Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My Falcon Servo hit a nice line on #3 and landed 15-20 ft. to the right of the basket."
-6
Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "This round was very nearly one of the more epic rounds I have ever had! Nearly mind you. I threw my Neutron Envy on Hole #1 once more and it hit another superb line but flew *just* over the basket. It was one of those throws into the wind where if the wind pushed the disc down just slightly, it would have been another Ace. On Hole #3, I went with the Neutron Envy again and PARKED it 5-10 ft. from the basket! And then, on Hole #5, I tossed my Envy underneath the tree, it went nice and straight, and the wind pushed it towards the basket right into the chains...where it bounced off the pole and landed outside the basket! It was robbery! That wasn't even the end of it either because on Hole #9, I threw a nice, gentle Envy toss well to the right of the basket, watched it go into its fade, and saw it collide...with the bottom lip of the basket! It still ended up being a nice round but geez...my Envy could have snagged another 2-3 Aces easily! So close..."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I didn't really expect to get out and play today but by 3-ish in the afternoon and with my wife and son asleep and napping peacefully, why not, right? ;) Despite it being super muddy out (it rained the entire day yesterday) and me forgetting to bring my disc golf towel, I had a wonderful time and I played very well! I threw my three "Ace Kings" (Cottonwood Buzzz, Neutron Envy, and Falcon Servo) a TON today and I hit some superb lines! If I throw my Falcon Servo with velocity, it hits a really sweet line on #3."
-6
Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My Neutron Envy absolutely loves Hole #1 because it narrowly missed snagging an Ace there (hit the line but went just over the basket)."
-5
Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "In addition to my "Ace King" discs, I brought several discs I am thinking about selling/giving away. However, after today, I might be keeping a few of them! ;) My Nuke S.S. and Star Thunderbird hit some rock solid lines on #2. I like how predictable my Thunderbird's fade is. It is so much like the Star Teebird which is the only reason I might part with it. MIGHT..."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "This winded up being a really sweet round! Honestly, my Roach was rock solid throughout this afternoon as my putts felt smooth and hit a nice, straight line consistently. This game is SO much fun when the putts are falling like this! I had another solid Falcon Servo drive on #3. My Neutron Envy came SO close to finding an Ace on Hole #7 too! It went *just* wide right. I had my best drive of the afternoon on Hole #8 with my Champion Daedalus too (landed 15-20 ft. in front of the basket)."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What an incredible round! Normally, I wouldn't be THAT excited about a seven under round but I had some amazing recovery putts here to really save my bacon. The Roach really was rock solid today and it continues to shine as my #1 putter. I really felt just calm and at peace which might sound cheesy but it is amazing how well I play when I feel that way. :)"
-6
Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "YESSSSSSSS!!! From a disc golf standpoint, I was really hoping to end my streak of never snagging an Ace in the month of January and boy did that ever happen thanks to this round! :) I came *incredibly* close with my red 2018 Ace Race disc on #5 (hit the anhyzer line beautifully and just missed chains), missed badly on #6 with my Cottonwood Buzzz (salvaged a birdie with a sweet 25 ft. putt though), and then hit the perfect line (straight with a light fade) with my Neutron Envy on Hole #7! It felt SO good and my Envy is now my "Ace King" disc with a whopping TEN Aces (six in the past month)!! WOW!! I wasn't done today either...as you will see. ;)"

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Unbelievable!! I was already riding the high from my Neutron Envy Ace and it was pretty dark by the time I got to Holes #8 and 9 so I knew I was just about done for the day. However, for my final act, I threw my Falcon Servo...mud-packed disc and all on #9, kept it down, and it went straight with a light fade right into the basket!!! I honestly couldn't tell for sure if the disc was in the basket due to it being quite dark but I ran up and I saw that lovely red and black disc gleam in the basket! I am absolutely amazed I was able to pull this off since all of my discs were very muddy and wet by this point (same with my hands) and yet...I hit the line! In all honesty, I thought my throw was going to fade just a little bit too much but it was so satisfying to find chains and a second Ace of the afternoon/evening. What a way to finish my final round! Thank you Lord! :)"
