Matthew Hull 40 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "What a surreal couple of rounds to start things off in May! Today was the fifth year anniversary of the day my cousin Mike passed away but I could swear that he was with me today. :) My first round was solid but it was in that second round where the magic happened. I threw my Megasoft Shield on Hole #6 and I really didn't think it had a chance of doing anything special. It was way to the right of the basket and too high of a toss. Yet it kept on gliding and faded right into the chains for a no-doubter ace! It's rare these days for me to hit a lucky ace like that but that's exactly what it was. And on the final hole of the evening (Hole #3 since I started on Hole #4 my second round), I tossed my Blue Bomber Buzzz (Mike loved all things Mega Man-related...as do I!) and it was a bit to the right of the line I wanted but then it faded way more than I expected. I ran up to the basket area expecting my drive to be maybe halfway down the hill. I couldn't BELIEVE my eyes when I saw my disc...just sitting 10-12 ft. from the basket. I've played more than 1,000 rounds at Reserves and I absolutely botched my drive to where it should have been in a tough spot down the hill. It was wild and I honestly think I had some help today. Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "YAY!!! I certainly didn't have my best stuff today but my Neutron Envy found a glorious ace on Hole #5! This definitely helped to make up for the near aces yesterday. I was hoping to play several rounds but the weather really started to turn (it was quite windy but then the rain started to come down quite a bit) so...two rounds and DONE! Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I only had enough time for one single, solitary round today and holy smokes! It was a doozy! My Neutron Envy hit a wonderful line on Hole #6 and nailed the chains dead center before bouncing out somehow (I think it hit the pole...that's my best guess anyway.) And on Hole #9, my Zone hit a glorious line before hitting the left side of the chains but not sticking. This one made more sense as my Zone hyzered just slightly too much. Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I know I sound like a broken record but everytime I log onto Disc Golf Scene and post my scores, it feels like it's been a LONG time! And once again, it's been a solid month since I last played. And today was rough! It was sunny outside and yet it was cold and windy (35 degrees when I started playing...got to around 43 degrees by the time I finished) but...with plans coming up this week, it's either find an ace ASAP or allow the streak to finally end. :) Oddly enough, my first round today would wind up being my best one of the day. How sad is that?!"-8
Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "My scores today weren't great by any stretch but...considering the month between rounds plus the wind (and cold), I thought I handled myself pretty well overall. It was really difficult to adjust because the wind was doing some funky things with my discs throughout! "-3
Matthew Hull 24 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Better lucky than good, right? While many of my aces are visualized/calculated beforehand in my head, this one was very, very fortunate. I tossed my Roach on Hole #5 into a headwind and it just hit the right line! Turned just enough and faded at the end VERY luckily into the chains. I'll take it! :) "Monday, February 19, 2024

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "SORRY for posting these rounds so flippin' late but...I did play two rounds of disc golf in February and the reason I only played two rounds is...that's all it took to snag an ace! Whoo-hoo! :) My first round was pretty pedestrian but Round #2 was very solid! I parked most of my drives then ended was a bang! Once again, my Megasoft Shield found a smooth line on #9 and nailed the chains (in that "soft" way the Shield tends to nail them...ha, ha) to end the evening on a wonderful note. It's been nice resting my right shoulder over the past month while keeping the streak alive. Can't ask for more than that! "Saturday, January 27, 2024

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I couldn't resist the urge to play a couple of rounds today (Saturday) and boy am I glad I played! I had by far my best round of the year so far (solid Evidence drive on #3) and I followed it up with an average round but a superb Zone drive on #6! I put good velocity on the toss and the Zone held the line enough to the right of the basket before fading into another ace! That's two aces in my last three rounds of disc golf! Matthew Hull 49 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "It's been a long, cold January and I felt it was time to play a little disc golf and go ace hunting! It was rainy, wet, and cold which is less than ideal but...in January...such is life! And boy...was I rusty today! "-7
Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Despite playing some LOUSY disc golf today, I had one miracle toss that erased all of the bad vibes in one fell swoop. My ole reliable Megasoft Shield hit a line I didn't think it would hit on Hole #9 and I heard that glorious sound of chains being nailed! It was twilight by this point so I didn't even know if the disc settled in the basket or not. What a feeling it is to run up and see a disc sitting in the basket. Wow! Matthew Hull 48 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "The past couple of days (low 50's and high 40's) definitely spoiled me as today, we got high 30's with a light breeze. It was chilly outside! And the first couple of rounds weren't exactly spectacular either."-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "It took me a while to get going but by Round #5, I was feeling it a bit! Round #6 might be the oddest -7 score I've ever had though. My Blue Bomber Buzzz hit a good enough line on #3 with my Champion Destroyer coming through on #8. Yet I got pars on #6 and 7! Insane stuff! "-15
Matthew Hull 39 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Yessssss!! It took a whopping eight rounds in the cold but my Evidence found paydirt on #7 and I even had a witness to boot! A gal behind me was testing out her new disc and she saw the ace as she tossed her drive on #6. Very cool (no pun intended) stuff! My final two rounds were superb as well. As always, it was a fun time but the wind really picked up and it was rough sledding for sure. I've had some close ace runs over the past few days but nothing has stuck so far. Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Another gorgeous November day (we hit 70 today!), another run at an ace @ Reserves Park! And make a run at an ace we did as I played a gazillion rounds of disc golf this afternoon. Round #1 was meh but Round #2 was solid! I finally birdied Hole #3 with my Falcon Servo!"-13

There were some close calls on Holes #4, 5 (I barely missed this hole like 3 times today!), and 9 (Star Spider hit the pole which would have given me 1 point in an Ace Race...ha, ha!) among other holes. Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "It took an insane ten rounds of disc golf (14 rounds in two days...yikes!) but my Star Spider came through for me on Hole #6! Despite the fact that I've put a bit more fade on my throws the past couple of days, I managed to release old Spider Sauce at the perfect time (I even muttered "That one looks REALLY good." to myself a second after tossing it!) and it absolutely crushed the chains. The weather forecast is abnormally warm for the next several days (65 degrees with a light breeze) so I headed out and put together two beautiful rounds to start things off! I couldn't quite solve #3 but everything else was superb! Beautiful drives, nice touch on my throws, and a few solid putts goes a long way!"-14
Matthew Hull 40 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Even though I couldn't bag an ace today, I did the next best thing which was to play really, really well! It's actually very rare for me to score two -8 rounds in the same day @ Reserves Park. The only hole I couldn't birdie today was #3 but otherwise, it was near perfection. :) My Champion Destroyer hit some mega sweet lines on #8 and my tried and true mids and putters hit the lines they've been hitting for years. Nice!"
