Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "It's been what seems like an eternity but, for the first time in a month, I went out and played a few rounds of disc golf! I actually practiced a bit yesterday (even though it was pretty windy) and I think it helped..? Most of my scores today won't reflect that but I did have a few solid throws in there. Regaining my "touch" is going to be the key for sure."

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "The streak is still alive! My Falcon Servo hit the super straight line on Hole #6 for an easy Ace! I now have at least one Ace in 25 consecutive months dating back to February 2018 and I hope to keep that streak going as long as humanly possible. As sweet as it was to snag an Ace today, it's the near miss on Hole #3 that's stuck in my brain. I went with my Lucid Enforcer there (I was feeling my Enforcer today on the two "long" holes.) and it hit the line beautifully! It turned perfectly, started to fade, maintained the perfect height, and crashed into the right side of the chains but didn't stick. :( Perhaps a little more to the left and it too would have found the Ace..? It was easily my best throw of the day and it should have stuck the landing dang it!"

Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "It is staying light outside *just* long enough to sneak in a couple of rounds after work right now...which is exactly what I did today. It was 45 degrees with very little wind and I certainly had my chances. My Falcon Servo was just wide to the right (and long) on Hole #3 (of course I missed the 20-25 ft. putt) while my rainbow Champion Destroyer hit the line on #4 and drilled the bottom lip. I tried to repeat my Hole #9 performance from last night but my Falcon Servo went just long this evening."

Matthew Hull 18 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What a marvelous round! :) After a busy day at work and plenty of errands afterwards (including a dreaded visit to the...*gulp*...dentist. JK...it worked out!) I was able to squeeze in two rounds of disc golf @ Reserves Park. The first round was fantastic too! I made some solid 20-25 ft. putts on Holes #3 and 4 but my best putt was a 30-35 footer after a good Lucid Enforcer drive on #8! I wisely played it safe on #9 too as my Megasoft Shield hit a beautiful hyzer line and landed right by the basket. An all birdie round!"

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "And all the world was in love with night! :) As a gorgeous sunset could be seen to the west, I went for it all on Hole #9 (compared to my safe but super effective Shield toss during Round #1) and my Falcon Servo...my trusty, red-hot Servo which loves to feast on Hole #9...found yet another Ace! It wasn't the same straight, smooth delivery that my Servo typically hits but I threw it well to the right of the basket and it faded and dropped right in to effectively end the evening of disc golf. I was going to play another round but after the way this round ended, why throw another disc? You can't finish things better than this! ;)"

Matthew Hull 24 - Regular tees, 9 holes "YESSSSSSS!! :) It was nothing short of a bizarre day weather-wise (65 degrees, moderate-to-heavy rain, and 20-25 mph wind gusts) and yet I *still* somehow managed to snag an Ace out @ Reserves Park! I was honestly just practicing on several holes and there was the slightest break in terms of the wind factor so I figured I'd get in a quick round. Immediately, my Falcon Servo hit a super smooth, pure line just to the right of the Hole #1 basket before gently fading and smashing into the chains for a no-doubter Ace! I just had a huge smile on my face because of the circumstances and you know how much I love to snag those Aces. It never gets old...even after doing it 167 times! As far as the rest of the round is concerned, the wet/windy weather definitely affected me big-time. My discs were all quite slick so it was really tough from an accuracy standpoint. It just goes to show how special that Ace was I suppose!"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Happy New Year! I still can't believe it's the year 2020. Whatever happened to the '80s and '90s, eh? ;) In any case, I wasn't even planning on playing today but, sure enough, I was out @ Reserves Park late in the afternoon. I felt really under-dressed too (shorts and a t-shirt with a light jacket...and it was only 45 degrees or so, the ground was wet, and there was a light wind too). For some reason, my hands felt the slightest bit greasy (ate chips a bit earlier..?) so it took a while for me to feel good about my grip and timing on my throws. My first round of the year wasn't too bad though. I had a superb Lucid Enforcer drive on #8 that came up just short. Wouldn't it have been something to snag an Ace on THAT hole to start the year? ;)"
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I had a few pretty mediocre rounds but then...the fourth round happened and, outside of three putting #8 (should have had an easy 3 there...I didn't take my time.), I played really well! I parked my Blue Bomber Buzzz on #3 and I had two near misses on #6 (Star Spider nailed the bottom lip...just didn't have the height to find chains) and #9 (Shield drifted just slightly too much to the left...it glanced off of the chains). It was dark by the time I completed my fourth round too. What happened next was simply legendary though (even if no one believes me). ;)"

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Truth is stranger than fiction my friend! It really is! I was on the verge of simply calling it an evening and heading home (it was DARK after all) but I ran up to Hole #4, threw what felt like a smooth, well-timed Star Beast drive, and it wasn't long after the throw that I heard the glorious sound of chains being hit! It wasn't a super loud sound so I really wasn't sure if my Beast stuck the landing or not. I walked-ran up to the basket, didn't see anything lying on the grass, and there was my Star Beast IN the basket! What a way to get my first Ace in 2020! Whoo-hoo!! :) Naturally, I played out the round and did quite well for it being in total darkness. Plenty of birdies and no lost discs so it was a real win. I made some really nice 18-20 ft. putts too (hard to putt when it's dark like that). Overall, I'm just ecstatic that I was able to get a near 200 ft. Ace in the dark (a true-blue First Throw Ace just to re-iterate that too) especially considering that I didn't really have my best stuff tonight. :)"

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "This was truly a last minute decision to play! I got off work @ 5PM and I arrived at Reserves Park literally AT sunset. It was a windless evening though and I put together a couple of solid rounds. My Cottonwood Buzzz came as close to acing #9 as a disc can come too. It hit plenty of chains and sounded for the world like an Ace but it simply didn't stick. So close!"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I once again found myself arriving @ Reserves Park late in the afternoon (4:20 or so...almost the same as yesterday) but I really enjoyed the time I had. There was virtually no wind for the first time in several weeks which had me licking my chops! Oddly enough though, I could not find an Ace today despite a plethora of super close calls! I broke out my Star Spider for the first time in a while and it came incredibly close twice on Hole #7 (hit some chains on one toss and hit the top band of the basket in another round) while my C. Buzzz hit the top band on the Hole #9 basket (perfect line otherwise)."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "No Aces to report but I did put together some fine rounds to finish the evening. My putting was very solid today too! I like the way I am putting these days but don't tell my Glo Roach that (or it'll jinx things!)"

Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "...and another weekend is here allowing me to venture out and play some disc golf! :) I didn't play many rounds today as I got an incredible late start (4:30PM-ish) thanks to me working most of the day on my eBay business. It was certainly chilly too like last weekend (upper 30's-low 40's) with a light but noticeable wind factor."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Ha, ha, haaaaaaa...YES sir! :) For the third straight Reserves Park outing, I found an Ace during my final round of the evening (and it was getting dark as I played out the final round too). I really didn't feel that my Megasoft Shield had enough height to find the Ace on Hole #6 but it must have had slightly more velocity on it than I thought because it hit the chains (just above the bottom lip) with some real zip! Normally a Megasoft Shield Ace is fairly quiet but this one sounded like an Ace! I narrowly missed a Megasoft Shield Ace last weekend on #6 too (hit the Ace line but nailed the bottom lip...not enough height). Don't look now but I have three Aces in December despite playing only...three days so far this month!"

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I suppose that yesterday really was a "warm-up" of sorts because I just felt better with my throws and putts today. My scores were several strokes better overall too! And it didn't hurt that I finished yesterday's rounds with a juicy Ace round at the end either! While my first round of the afternoon was just okay, the second round was solid! My Blue Bomber Buzzz hit some nice lines on #3 today as did my Neutron Envy. The Lucid Enforcer continues to be my most consistent driver on the 285 ft. #8 too."
-15
Matthew Hull 39 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Sweetness! Even though I didn't snag any Aces these rounds, my overall play was wonderful! To get back-to-back birdies on #8 (Star Beast and Lucid Enforcer drives) was very satisfying too."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Another couple of solid rounds! I should note that my putting felt very good today. Sure I still missed some easy ones at times but I made some good ones too. There was a bit of a wind factor today too so any made putts outside of 15 ft. were solid putts!"
-7
Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "By this point I was certainly getting a bit tired and my performance was starting to show that. I know that I'm crazy and obsessed to be Ace hunting in December but after a year like this, I've just got to finish strong!"
-7
Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Unbelievable! This isn't some sort of typo or anything like that but it certainly felt like deja vu because, for the second straight day, I got an Ace on Hole #1 during my final round of the evening...with the SAME disc! The only difference with this Falcon Servo Ace was that my throw was noticeably more to the right of the basket than last night's throw and that one felt more like a true "luck" Ace. I honestly just threw the disc to the right of the basket and the wind (which was actually pushing towards the northeast) pushed the disc in such a way that it faded right into the chains and settled somehow! It was very cool and my Falcon Servo continues to hit the right line at the right time. If only the TEAM could play like this disc has played in 2019...then we'd be on to something! ;)"

Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Another Saturday and another slew of rounds out @ Reserves Park! I do look forward to playing elsewhere just to mix it up but honestly, I plan on having a blast as I try to push my personal Ace record as high as possible this month! I presently have 84 Aces in 2019 so why not shoot for the moon? I don't know how much success I can find in December with the short days and the fact I can only play on weekends but we'll see what happens. Today was a pleasant day with a light wind factor. Overall, I played pretty average disc golf but then again, I was a bit rusty too."

-9
Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "To have six rounds in the books and have a score no better than 5 under was not a great feeling to be honest. I had some good tosses here and there but my accuracy was an issue at times too..."
-8
Matthew Hull 19 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Yeah baby!! ;) This round made all of the average rounds this afternoon/evening disappear! It started with a bang too as I put the perfect amount of velocity/touch on my Falcon Servo toss on #1! My Servo went perfectly straight before fading towards the tail end of the throw landing just above the bottom lip and into the chains for the Ace! It's been a long time coming for my Servo on #1 too as it had glanced off the chains several times and even had a crazy moment where it hit the Ace line and landed inside the basket before spinning in the circle and spitting out several months back! No drama tonight! ;) I really fed off of the Ace momentum too and put together by far my finest round of the day. My Lucid Enforcer hit a very nice line on #8 giving me a suddenly rare birdie there (I am much better on that hole in warm weather!)"

Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "Yes sir! It was a beautiful, mostly windless Sunday afternoon and I took full advantage on Hole #5 with my Patrol. It simply hit the perfect an-hyzer line and glided perfectly into the chains for the Ace! I wish the rest of the round had gone better but I'll take the Ace thank you very much! ;) The second round was a bit better for sure."
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "I had no complaints about my third round of the afternoon! My Falcon Servo and Blue Bomber Buzzz both came through for me on Hole #3 in a big way. There were even a few near Aces on that hole today."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "That's not a bad way to finish off the afternoon! I played pretty well overall and even snagged a second Ace thanks to my Roach turning enough to nail the Hole #7 basket! It was a fun little throw to watch (started a good distance to the left but just kept turning) and is one I have tried to execute for a while now with my Roach (first Ace for my Roach on this particular hole). It was definitely a great afternoon in terms of me putting the right amount of turn on my throws (two Aces hitting that line!)"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees 2x, 18 holes "What a wonderful evening of disc golf this turned out to be! There was virtually zero wind factor tonight and it hovered around 47-50 degrees which wasn't all that shabby. After three consecutive trips to Reserves Park on windy days, this was a welcome respite. It took me a round to get warmed up but my throws were much, much better and they did exactly what they were supposed to do (for the most part anyway). My Roach is a solid putter on windless days and it really shined tonight! I darn near snagged an Ace immediately with a Megasoft Shield drive on #1 that hit chains and SOMEHOW didn't stick! That disc is practically built for sticking in the basket so it was unreal that it bounced out like that!"
