Pros: Very nice well kept course that was built by a local boy scout. The course is short and mostly wooded. There are two holes right at 300 ft but all the rest are around the 180 mark. Holes 1, 2 & 9 are open while holes 3-8 follow a crushed gravel path through the woods in a loop. Technical enough for a seasoned vet to enjoy but short enough for a beginner to not get too frustrated. Definitely a family course. The average golfer can get by with a mid-range and putter. Technical enough for a seasoned vet to enjoy but short enough for a beginner to not get too frustrated. Definitely a family course. The average golfer can get by with a mid-range and putter. There is a mando on hole 2 and an out of bounds on hole 9 that add a bit of difficulty.

Cons: It may be a bit too short and easy for some. I've played it a few times now to help them work out the kinks and I've consistently thrown 2-3 under par. And I am in no way a pro player. There are a few brush piles in the woods on the side of the path from where the path and course were created. If you happen to throw in one then be careful of snakes. Signage is ok. It's short enough that you don't really have to look long for the next tee. I've also been told a second boy scout may use this as his eagle scout project and build better signs and bag hangers.

Other Thoughts: Nice course if you're looking to get in a quick round. No real space to expand so what you see now is what you get. I've played a few other 9-hole courses around NC and this is one of the best ones. Not as long or difficult as Bethel in W-S but worth playing if you're in the Kernersville area.
