This course is located to the left of the Prewett Family Park up in the hills. There are no tree obstacles, but there are interesting elevation shots and wind to deal with, (different directions depending on the time of day). The club here has been diligently clearing the course of weeds and star thistle so it is becoming more player-friendly every day. Per Parks and Rec in Antioch at this time, no tee pads other than dirt are allowed, so every hole has a good dirt pad to throw from and four of the holes, (2-5), have a nearby sidewalk to throw from, too, as an alternate tee pad. Holes 4 and 5 have a spectacular view of Mt. Diablo in the background. Hole 7 is the crown jewel of the course - a spectacular 585' downhill shot that includes an approx. 80' elevation drop from top to bottom. Rabbits and other wildlife have been seen on the course. Currently, every Thursday, a food truck pulls up to the Hole 8 basket/Hole 9 tee pad area and provides refreshments. Often, an Antioch Disc Golf Club member is hanging around giving disc golf lessons and tips. This course will probably be in tip-top shape by the end of Sept/first part of Oct. after all the work parties that will have been worked at by then. UPDATE: As of August 2018, permanent teepads were installed for Holes 1, 4, 6, 7, and 8. The other holes either use a sidewalk or the parking lot as a teepad.
