I'm in town on business and looking to throw. Any locals want to show me the ropes?
Thank you! I played it this morning but would prefer to throw with locals. I have requested they let me join the group. Any other courses worth playing?
Redan in Lithonia and J.P. Moseley in Stockbridge are both great courses.
Hobbs Farm is the best public course within 1 hour of Metro Atlanta. Par 66, 3 permanent tee pads, seclusion from any other activity, and something you'll never forget. I've taken a few of my buddies there and their review was that it was amazing.

A fabulous championship style course just a short drive from downtown and mid-town Atlanta. It has a little something for everyone from technical shots on the back to a few big boomers from the long tees. Lots of well designed holes incorporating wonderful elevation changes and a creek bed that comes into play on several holes. John Ritger did an excellent job using the existing terrain creating a fun and challenging course. It is a big course with big payoff if you can keep your plastic in the fairway.

This is great news! This course is just minutes from my house. I can't wait.

Ritger is heading this effort and has made great progress. Layout options have been presented to the official 'Officials' and approval is closer than ever. Check out the thread at www.discgolfatlanta.com - Ryan, who are you working with on this master plan?
Ryan Jenkins April 1, 2011 at 6:24pm
Aslo, if you happen to have a map of the course or know where I can find one that would be a big help.
Ryan Jenkins April 1, 2011 at 6:22pm
I will be working on a master plan for Perkerson Park over the next few months. In addition to typical park improvements, the master plan will incorporate a permanent installation of this course. I would like to talk to disc golfers who play this course often and have insight into the pros of cons of the current layout. Would any of you be interested? Maybe we could play a round and discuss as we go. Thanks.

Hello! Tee pads are a permeable rubber material, some pads have erosion damage. Use caution
Shorts are the Red Pads. Blue Pads are junior pads and dirt/grass tee areas marked with rocks. Highly recommend using Udisc for navigating the layout. Cheers
