*Course recently underwent a redesign* McWilliams Park DGC was a solid park and a good compliment to nearby Russell Lake Park DGC. The par is a 58, with 4 Par 4's and mostly wooded course with a few slightly wooded to open holes. The park is still awaiting concrete tee pads and new tee signs. The par is a 58, with 4 Par 4's and mostly wooded course with a few slightly wooded to open holes. The park is still awaiting concrete tee pads and new tee signs. Course navigation, however, was not a problem even playing the first time through. The only hole where I had to stop and look around was 12 to 13, where the walkway to Hole 13 was slightly back up hole 12's fairway. The holes vary greatly in length giving you a variety of shots from touch shots to a few long drives. There are a 4 mandos that are in place to steer you away from athletic fields and/or walking paths, however Hole 14 has no mando, letting you choose between a tight, wooded tunnel shot or a huge hyzer over the OB athletic field. There are currently 4-5 raised baskets, I could do with less, but as I understand it there were 9 raised baskets before the redesign. Hole 7 would be the most difficult on the course, it plays as a par 4 but I don't foresee many 3's being recorded. It is a 600 ft horseshoe coming out of and back into the woods. It does its job as a score separator and is very rewarding if you par or birdie it. My favorite hole on the course would be 8. It is a par 4 pop hyzer to annie shot coming out of a wooded tunnel and into a fairway with trees on either side. A well placed drive is rewarded with an easy upshot to birdie.
