Great mix between the alternate pins and pads. Wish it were 18 with alternates, but for what it is it's pretty dang awesome.

Pros: Brand new course! Always a treat to play on a beautiful golf course like this. The signature Hole 4, if you get the opportunity to play C position - go for the goal post! Absolutely awesome. Very well-maintained practice area (2 baskets next to hole 1 tee off) and most importantly, the bartenders are awesome and there is great beer on tap.
Cons: A 9-hole with alternate tee pads/pins, but rumored to expand soon. Permanent tee pads not yet there, but will be installed soon (concrete). ...

Beautiful dual-use course with great views. Employees and golfers very friendly .No tee signs, but made up for it by providing scorecards with distances for every hole, (from every tee "pad" to every basket for each hole). Two baskets and 2 tee-off spots for every hole. It was a little confusing at first knowing where to tee off from and why, but it came. For 9 holes of golf, this is a great course. Will force you to throw plenty of different shots, gorgeous natural surroundings, in a major urban area.

Great new course in Oakland. Great views, Pro Shop, cafe and bar. Pay to play, call ahead for tee times. Four pin locations and two tee areas on each of the 9 holes.

I really like this course. Being on a ball golf course, it is obviously well maintained. Besides that, having two baskets and two tee pads for each of the 9 holes allows for multiple ways to play this course. It is therefore good for beginners (green to green), for advanced players (yellow to yellow), and for those in between, you can mix and match to create the course you're interested in playing. Off the fairways, there is a poison oak presence, so I make sure to wear long pants and always loo ...

chabot is great, the two tees and baskets on each hole are nice. cheap for oakland residents (you should always say you live in oakland) and usually not too busy on most days. everyone here is real nice in my experiences, and although the clubhouse food is grossly overpriced it's pretty good. really nice views, stunning on a sunny day.
