Horizon disc golf course is on private property. The owners open up their course once a year for the Horizon Open Tournament to let people come out and play. This course is a desert course with par 3s, 4s, and 5s. It’s a really fun course because there’s really cool holes you get to throw from mesa to mesa, so you can really crush some drives. Challenging 27-hole course on breathtaking private property in northeastern Arizona. This long course (advanced tees play over 10,000 feet with short tees on many holes) is spread across a variety of landscapes, from tees and baskets spanning mesas to flat fairways dominated by junipers that require shot-shaping and scrambling skills. This is a passion project that is always being improved and updated. If you get a chance to play Horizon you are in for a treat, to say nothing of the chance to meet the wonderful people behind this course.

What the Horizon DGC lacks in development (tees, signs, etc) it makes up for with entertainment. The course is very challenging, yet fun to play, with lots of elevation changes and variations in hole lengths and pars (everything from 140ft par3 to 860ft par5). Every hole is unique and memorable, requiring a variety of shots and strategies to shoot under par. Many tee pads are not yet paved (dirt) and the baskets are of varying make and model. If this course had 27 paved tees and 27 pro baskets, it would be an A+.
