This course makes excellent use of the land it's built on. The Eagle River comes into play on several shots, there are some elevated baskets that make those final putts a little more challenging, and a good mix of length. The concrete tee pads are in great shape, and the tee signs are top notch! There's a little bit of elevation change on a few holes which is nice, and even one double-mando, through the trees type of shot. All and all it's a fun course!

James and Dan summed it up perfectly. Also, the local disc golf club (Flying Eagle Disc Society) puts in a lot of work maintaining the course. HITS has come a long way since they took over.

This course looks easier than it actually is! When playing the OB's correctly you will quickly realize that you need more shots in your bag than just a hyzer. With varrying distances, trees and shrubbery guarding some baskets and a river running along the course you quickly realize that you have to have confidence in the shot you take whether it's a deep drive or a touch upshot. Awesome scenery is a plus, but even better, as the course name states, weather almost always moves around the course creating a Hole In The Sky and superb conditions.

Hole in the Sky is the best open park course I've played in CO. It's beautifully designed, scenic, and fair to different skill levels. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides so the views are fantastic(also within 5 min of Bonfire Brewery). Mostly all flat grassy shots but the Eagle river that comes into play on several holes and other OBs make the design on this one fair and when the wind kicks up, quite tough. It challenges golfers to throw different shots and utilizes the space they have p ...

Great excuse to get of I-70 and stretch the legs! Great tees and baskets. Love the play along the course bounding ditch and river. Holes crossing the grassy meadows not so interesting and protected by the flood irrigation.

This is not a course to play alone. There's a lot of tall grass and it's not easy to find your disc so it's good to take turns spotting. There was some kind of camper expo when we were playing so we had to skip four holes. There were porta potties placed on the hole 17t tee box the day we played! The river was muddy the day we played and we lost a couple we could have probably found if the water was clear. I loved the course layout. Bravo to whoever designed it. Also, the tee pads are great.
