I had a chance to talk to the management while I played this course this summer. It was the last 18 holes I played before I started wearing my knee braces. I am looking forward to playing this course more. I wear knee braces for both my knees know; walking in Maine is easier for me not just at Hapana, but for DR, Legacy Farms and Maple Ridge especially.

Fun course. Definitely helps to follow some locals around for your first round. Tee areas are generally flat beds of wood chips, and are marked with wood placards showing hole number, distance and par. The course would definitely benefit from some scorecards with a map, as there are a couple of pretty confusing areas.

For $3 per round or $5 per day it's really not a bad course, but at the same time, most of the free courses I play are better groomed and maintained, so it would be nice if they put a little more work into the upkeep.
