I live in Kansas City, and stop in to play this course when I visit family in Minnesota. The course is beautifully wooded, with some challenging pin positions. One bit of advice; in the summer, take a lot of bug spray. Going home w/mosquito welts is not too fun.

Very fun course. Nice and open and covers plenty of ground. On some holes the holes can be kind of long in the 400-500 for a par 3, so its good if you have a little bit of an arm.

It's a beautiful park with old trees. No fresh clusters to clog your shot. Just nice practical obstacles. Played thus on a 100 degree afternoon and was well shaded most of the time. Bonus points for having a water fountain near hole 10. It's cleaner and more fun than Ewing, which is my "home" course.

I enjoyed the course beginning with the course map posted as you near the first tee. A quick photo with the iphone was all it took to give me the confident feeling to begin my round knowing I wouldn't get "lost". Good use of trees in this moderately wooded course although I had brought my "A" game that day and had many birdies (more than average) due to well placed shots from the tee. The back 9 seemed to get a bit tighter and the birdies began to stop but I found that all holes were par unless ...

This is a great challenging course, although it does play a bit too long.

This is by far the nicest course I have been to. Beautiful layout, hard to lose a disc on, but challenging setup, terrain, and distances.
A few baskets had wrong hole numbers on them. Some places it was hard to figure out how to get to the next hole.

A good mix of long, short, open, wooded and it's well taken care of.

This course has it all. A course map, bathrooms, water, very nice pins, clearly marked tees, shade, intuitive layout, and a place for kids to play. This might be the most complete package out there. I can not think of a single thing I dislike about this course.

I really have fun at this course. Not super difficult, but still provides subtle challenge to any players game. Has lots of elevation change and a few long holes too. Very beginner friendly course, especially with the amateur tee pads provided. Truly a staple of Des Moines Disc Golf. Titan Disc is also located few blocks away, so that is cool. Only drawback, is there is car traffic and park traffic in this park. Kids, families, parties, ect. It's not bad, but just keep in mind.

Gorgeous Park w/Nice Baskets!! 7-8 holes w/benches! Very fun, and beginner friendly!! (Multiple short pads) Great for a quicker paced round w/many Birdie opportunities!

Pretty open course, not too many challenges. Good place to work on distance drives. Lots of hills.

When I lived in Iowa this course was my #2 go-to for playing 2x week. Its one of the oldest disc golf courses in Iowa and has been played on for years. I enjoy it immensely. You'll want to go during a less humid day or time, evening or early morning. I'd say its more for the Novice to Pro. Enjoy.
