Gorgeous course, well laid out. Incredible scenery. Fellow players/course owners are friendly and fun. Bring along whatever you need to eat/drink/wear; course is a ways from civilization, which is part of the attraction. Make a weekend of it! P.S. If the guy in the cabin is in a talkative mood, his stories alone are worth the price of admission.

Love it, great variety of shots. Picturesque setting, can't get enough every time I get the opportunity to play.

I think this course is worth the drive to play it. There are elevation changes on many of the holes but nothing crazy. I love the custom baskets. Tee pads are natural. Watch out for the (telegraph?) wire while tossing on hole 2 IIRC. I didn't see it and what I thought was going to be a beaut of a toss got deflected just thirty or whatever feet into the throw. I think there are only a couple holes needing a driver. I mostly used a couple of mids and was getting them into putting range. Pretty se ...

Often I've heard said that [ball] golf is a good walk spoiled. And often I've found that to be the case. Walking the Golden Eagle course, through it's virgin woods, meadows and mountain views, is an absolute pleasure. Discs in hand or not, it's a wonderful walk. The course is just beautiful. I can't compare this course to others, as this is the only disc course I've ever played. But I can say, that other courses I've walked through or driven past do not make me want to stop and play a round. This one does. A+ in my book, even with little to compare it to.

New Baskets, improved stream crossings, mowed fairways (July). Definitely upgraded if you haven't been in a while. Great Views and wildflowers during the season.
Remember pack in pack out, small camping area available. Pit toilet.
Only dinged from A+ as I would love to see them improve a few tee pads.

Absolutely gorgeous course. One of the best courses I've ever played. Secluded mountaintop views deep in Roosevelt National Forest. Lots of wildlife including moose!! If you havent played here yet get your butt up there. Great homade baskets. Lots of elevation changes and mountain streams. Benches on every tee pad.

My favorite course in northern Colorado! The best privately owned course I've ever played!

This is a great mountain course that doesn't make you trudge up and down mountainsides all day. Plus the owners are super nice guys.

I just played this course for the first time after hearing some good things about it. I was very impressed and definitely plan on returning. My brother and I played 3 rounds within 4 hours and we were the only ones at the course the whole day which was awesome. The layout of the course was easy to follow and had a ton of fun challenging shots. Some awesome views throughout the whole course.

This place is awesome for all skill levels. They even have camping. That along with great views make it one of the best places to play in all of Northern Colorado!!!

This is a real Gem of a course tucked up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. With 2 different pin positions on each hole, new paved tee pads, and a campsite positioned perfectly in the middle of the course, this is one you don't want to miss. Be prepared to meet the super friendly course dogs and some amazing views.
