Matthew Hull 61 - Short tees, 18 holes "Well, you can't play great all the time, right? While I played a very sound round at Vista Del Camino, Fountain Hills rattled me early and often. My very first throw (Sweetees Champion Teebird) came up short and landed in the drink while my second throw with my cheap $5 floater disc ALSO landed in the bloody water! I managed to recover the $5 disc along with a Champion Orc (which promptly landed in the water on #4 as it missed going in for an Ace, bounced high, and literally disappeared into the abyss knows as the pond) so you can see how I got a bit nervous when throwing my favorite discs! I did manage to throw my floater disc well on #6 to capture a nice birdie and I had a fantastic Pro Wraith throw on #18 to set up a nice confidence-boosting birdie to finish at least. I like some of the wide open holes in the back nine as I threw some very nice Inertia, Roadrunner, and Orion throws (I also threw the Roadrunner very well at Vista Del Camino earlier today!) Despite my struggles, I did manage to still have a fun time and I really do like this course. I am just glad that I didn't throw into the busy street or decapitate a pedestrian as there were a LOT of pedestrians and they seemed absolutely oblivious as they would literally walk in FRONT of us as we prepared to throw! In any case, my brother Nate played very, very well (nearly aced #18 with the new Champion Sidewinder I got him) and finished at -1. It was a special day and immensely satisfying for me personally.
