CURIOUS: How have you scored on the new !8? Also give your PDGA rating if you can. Remember- The par for this course will eventually be set well above 54. The days when we think of success in discgolf as so many point below a par 54 are long gone. Tee shot, fareway drive, approach and putt will be a regular part of our game at Brewer from now on. Some of us will need to get out of the habit of saying "par" when we score a 3 on a hole. There is no shame saying 4 or 5 when we par some of our new holes. Its all relative, so let's revel in the new.

I shot 67 Monday and 70 Tuesday. Currently pdga rating is 868.

Brewer course-work update: This Friday - July 14, is the date for laying the tee pad cement. (The cement company has informed us that this is their best and earliest.) 10 am is the planned start time. Because of our dependence on the cement company timing, it is important that people who can help with the work let Jacob Stahl (DiscBaron- 616-481-9893) know that they will be there on Friday at 10am. Saturday, July 15 (10am) is now the date for basket installation.

By the way, how about adding mica to the cement for the sparkling effect?

Thanks much...Sunday may be needed as the work from Saturday may not be completed. It is safe to say that some more clean up will be needed in the weeks that follow.

Let's thank these volunteers for the work they did last Saturday at Brewer. Using the map shown on " info / north course / hole 1 / fifth photo", see the actual holes for 3C thru 7C and 16C where much work was done. KEEP WATCHING this page for upcoming work days: clearing/cleaning, tee pads, and basket installation. Anyone with travel baskets want to organize a trial run on some of the new holes?

I was out playing the South course today, on hole one very first shot through a red Westside discs Queen to the right of the keypad in the high grass and couldn't find it. Not sure it has my name on it but if it does good to me please get ahold of me here or I may have my phone number on the back. Thank you in advance

I just uploaded the new/County approved design: it shows on the North Course, Hole 1 spot. It enlarges very well. Note: we could not make the southeast wooded area work this year as County had issues with water and large tree removal.
Fred Vocino May 1, 2017 at 7:24pm
Please HOLD May 13 Saturday for our start on the course redesign. Fairway clearing for new holes and clutter removal is the plan for that day. THE COUNTY WILL NOTIFY ME AND I WILL CONFIRM THIS DATE HERE. The arrangements for tee pads and basket placements are still pending. Volunteer cement masons and related equipment have not been identified yet.

Repost--
Brewer Park Discgolf course redesign has been approved by Kent County. This means that we can soon go to the park and start making the needed changes. People, equipment and materials need to be coordinated.
1) This will start with a course inspection by people who would bring the materials and equipment. Those folks and course designers can do this at the earliest date they find mutually convenient.
2) We can now also find the dates all volunteers can come to the park and do the ...

The first set of responses have resulted in a May 13 (Sat.) start of the work. County approval of that date is pending. I will post here when confirmed. Thursday work days may yet occur as we find enough volunteers to make those happen. As for equipment and materials: chain saw, loppers, post-hole diggers, cement, sand, gravel and the equipment needed to lay tee pads.

I will bring a post hole digger, loppers, tamper, shovels, garden rake and other hand tools. I have a landscaping trailer and a small chipper/shredder which would be possible for me to bring it'd necessary

The first work day will involve cutting and clearing. Baskets have not arrived and cement has not been scheduled. Thanks for making yourself and equipment available.

Hi all,
What awesome news for the new design being approved! In moving forward, I have been looking at league days and tourneys in the area. There are so many now! I am thinking that a great day/time to set our work days is Thursday's from like 4 or 5 until dark. This will not interfere with out local leagues or weekend tourneys in the area and also allow up to get consistent momentum in our clearing and install work. What do you guys think and shall we post it? Thursday 5/4, 5/11, 5 ...

How is the Brewer redesign coming along?
![](https://m.discgolfscene.com/avatars/21038/c95a96a26190.jpg)
County review process is a bit difficult due to the move into current untouched wooded areas. Concerns about safe pathmaking and wet areas need to be addressed.

Cash dubs @ fallasburg march 25. This a byop tournament. 40$ a team. All divisions paid cash! Check it out on the tournament page.
I shot a 60 today and felt pretty good about it, I'm sure others have done better but it was my first time out there. Love the pads and discatchers
