short, tough, technical course. not enough chances to rip a drive and watch it go. great course to play if you want to improve your game(especially putting and mid range).

Wooded, tight, but fair. Many unique holes with lots of elevation. Great new FlyPads and a pro shop behind hole 12 where you can donate a few bucks for course insurance. Friendly locals too!

Course is short tight and HILLY. Tee pads are getting put in. Very well signed .

Challenging not only for it's technical aspect but you better be ready for some serious cardio. Most elevation changes of any course in the area. A great round can go sour on one hole if you try to nail that dowwnhill putt.

New T pads on several holes are a great add; hopefully a few more to come. Course is always fun, and a great early season choice.

One of the best courses in New England. A lot of fun to play and quite the workout. If you enjoy Disc Golf and Hiking like I do, this blends both perfectly. I play this course once a week and never get tired of it. Alot of great holes for forehand throwers like myself. The course is always kept in prime condition which is really appreciated!

Love this course! Maybe my new favorite. I wouldn't say its "hilly" more like, mountainous....plan on some serious climbing, play smart.

well designed course, good signs, memorable area with the military town and steep hills. worth traveling to- but don't expect to throw an even par on a first round unless you're an excellent player. i prefer more open courses.

Being a relatively new player (est. Aug 2010) and having probably only played 6 or 7 different courses, Devens is one of my favorites that I've been to thus far. I find it to be a fair bit challenging but very fun. The whole course is on the side of a small hill so you get a mixed variety of uphill and downhill shots. It's pretty well wooded and cleared well of short brush and debris, as well as well defined fairways. No water hazards. Every hole is par 3, some easy some tough...I average about 4 on each as a tomahawk/thumber thrower.

Short holes, but challenging. Lots of narrow holes with plenty of trees to make it interesting. Lots of elevation, both up and down.

This course is the closest one to my house so I've played it a few too many times. A great course and really good workout with the hiking. Par and under is attainable but definately tough with all the trees and boulders. A good technical challenge.

too hilly and actually a bit dangerous for hiking in spots.well kept and, clean very crowded with people who think theyre pros taking forever to throw a disc

We are beginners and first time playing here. Course was good and well marked. We liked the hilly terrain as it was also a good hiking workout and it's close to home. Will definitely come back, we know a few others that play here.

Great course and signage. The elevation and the unique pin placements on the holes makes this a fun challenging course.

1st time playing it. Interesting course, a lot of rocky ledges. Uneven terrain, so watch your step. Very few level holes, most either elevated or downhill. Very wooded, only a couple open holes to let it rip. I liked it though, I'd play it again.

Luck not skill is a major factor with basket placements and how your disc catches the turf.

Love the elevation changes, and the maturity of the course. Love that my first ace was here!!!!

Best course I have played if not for the interesting challenging lay out and many nice down hill throws but for the fact the about mid way through there is both a disc store and a pizza shop!!!!

Certainly lives up to its name, but the course doesn't utilize the titular hill particularly effectively. Most of the course is dedicated to zig-zagging up and down the side of the hill. Too many pure tunnel shots. Too many small "filler" holes. However, a handful of interesting hole designs keep it from getting a lower score. Great new course! Just played a couple of times and the course has a whole new set of challenges from The Hill. Definitely longer, not as hilly. Good Work on the new course.

Hard to find hole #1. Great course overall. Great signage. Awesome layout!

The General...just a longer version of the Hill course to me. Very taxing w/ all the elevation changes. Very wooded as well.

Like people have said, it is similar to the Hill, but tighter and longer. A fantastic course and challenge. I am in love.

This course channeled my inner mountain goat.A lot of up and down - which is not fun in the winter with a bunch of ice. I think I would prefer to play in the summer.I loved the elevation changes (something you don't find a bunch in MA) - and there are a couple of holes where you can let it rip - and get a nice float downhill. I would count #8 and #12 among those. Hole 8 was definitely my favorite - but the fact that you had to play hole #7 to get there almost made it not worth it. Hole 7 is what ...
