Coggshall Park has just opened 18 playable, temporary targets. The middle of the fairways are cleared, but the rough around the fairways is still cluttered. The permanant targets will be purchased soon and the fairways will be cleared further as work days follow. Parking is still an issue because we are in the process of making a parking area, but there is limited parking by the road.

Luke come back in the spring, Things will be lot different. Please keep in mind Coggshall is still very much a work in progress. Baskets just got installed this past weekend with more on the way. Also when you return enter at the South St. entrance. Hole 1's tee starts about 75 feet on the left from that entrance.

This is a good course under construction. The front nine are difficult and I hear from borelli that the back nine is that much more difficult. Great course for practicing staying on the fairway and those yzer's.

Okay...first the good stuff. All 18 holes have DiscCatcher baskets and the holes are much better marked than previously.....the only confusion is where Basket 3 and Tee 13 meet up.....it's a little difficult finding Tee 4 the first time you play here. (Walk about 200 feet UP the road and you will find Tee 4 on the left.)
Tee boxes are....well......pathetic. Boxes are merely a spot shaped by logs. Roots and small stumps are common in tee areas. There is A LOT of thick vegetation just off the v ...

A lot of work as been put in to the Coggshall Park Course and its looking better and better.
Several Tees have been made, signage is better and the fairways are fairly clear. It is a wooded course theres no doubt about it. In many cases you can now see where the baskets are or have signage to where they are. It is still a little tricky getting to some of the tees. in particular #4 is a little up the hill from three, theres a path with a small sign on the ground. Getting to 8 is also a little co ...

Course has made many improvements making it much easier to navigate. Play is so much better now with updated tee pads and clearing. Great wooded course that has finally been broken in.

Cool use of the real estate. Good elevation changes and defined fairways. Tees seemed to be coming along nice. Lots of nasty underbrush off the fairways tho.

Full disclosure: I am a member of the club BOD and have been working on the course since its founding. In recent years, many improvements have been performed, including expanded parking, nine brick tee pads, and substantial clearing of some of the more difficult fairways. The pathways between holes are more clearly marked. More improvements are in the works. The course is becoming quite popular in the region but is not quite as busy as Barre or Tully, most times there are few if any holdups for casual play. It's a wooded course, challenging but fun with lots of interesting terrain.

Both challenging and fair, make sure you're up for a good deal of hiking because there is a lot of elevation change throughout the course. Tee pads are being converted to pavers gradually and the mountain laurel is trimmed back, making it easier to find discs that land off the fairway. Very underrated course.

Nice wooded course w/ some moderate elevation. Some tough Par 3's, not rated for beginners.

Good overall technical wooded course with a lot of elevation changes. Interesting and tough shots throughout a lot of the course.

Beautiful location. Each hole memorable and unique. Excellent tee pads. Great use of terrain, elevation, water. Several signature holes, and all shots require accuracy. Note the negative reviews all seem old, and lots of great work has gone into this course in the last couple years. My favorite in the area.
