Want to put out a thanks to the crew who was involved with the official pour of first tee pad at Camp Taloali this last Sunday. Also located some trails and fairways with some leaf removal. If we had more materials on site we could have accomplished more and hope this can be worked out in future so we can pour more then 1 a day. It's a start and that's good but now interested in the plan for future to continue and finish this project. If we want top quality courses to play on then ... more

Again BIG thanks go out today to the gang of 5 who continued on with the Camp Taloali Teepad work. Thanks go out to Rich Ayers, Joe Higgins, Myself, Chris Wilcox and Ira. Again led on this time by 3 grandmasters (older gents) we were able to finish prep work, setting and leveling frames on 9 tee pad areas. Stay tuned for plans on pouring (date not set firm yet) and then finishing up work on rest of tee pads (to be scheduled). Sure would be nice to see some new faces on this project to help u ... more

Being from up North of the Salem area, I have no room to speak on this subject, Steve but I have to say that for all of the "Calls to Duty" that you have issued to the local golfing group, it's sad that your requests for help go un-answered. Its not just down South or disc golfers, Steve. Its HUMAN NATURE. Humans are "Takers". They never give without being able to take. ALL HUMANS!! People don't want to work when they can play. I read every post that asks for volunt ... more

BIG Thanks go out to Chris Wilcox, Rich Ayers, and Mr. Clean Lee for joining myself and getting work accomplished today at Camp Taloali. Kind of sad picture when half of work force is grand and senior grand masters who are trying hard to get it done. Anyway thanks to 4 of us a lot of dirt tee pad areas are rototilled and in process of getting this task accomplished. For those that can this Friday 10:00 sure would be nice to see anyone that can make it, to make it there. Bring shovels and rak ... more

Thanks for offer Mr Clean. That would be a big help woth a rototiller and I'm sure any expense gas or such club can reimburse. If you are able to get one and join us wednesday let me know if you think you might be there on course before 10:00 and I can head up early. As far as cement mixer I believe Chris as that handled dependeing how wednesday goes. Should all be good and great when done. Thanks again for offer and hope to see you out there.

a number of times ive done work partys at taloali ive been able to pickup equipment from ACE hardware in stayton, equipment loaned to taloali free of charge. there very good about letting us use the machines for that course. i'll go by today and try and work some magic for a rototiller, anything else we might need? cement mixer on the 9th? i know they open at 8am and loaners are based on availability so i would suggest maybe a couple of us get to taloali around 8:30 to start if i can get a rototiller soon as they open.

I know some folks work and such but Chris Wilcox and I spent some time At Taloali this morning looking at work needed for tee pad prep and install. As it was just the two of us not much else got done. In case you are not aware of it there is work party planned for Wednesday the 7th at 10:00. At this time we need bodies, shovels, and other implements of construction. Also any rototillers would be a great help. Depending on how far we get then the next step will be pouring cement. The needed ... more

Latest news I just received from Camp Taloali is closed till after Labor day (Sept 4th) now which is later then we first thought. That word is from camp chairman by way of Richard Olson. Guess we wait awhile longer, it will be good when it happens.
