G&Gs! don't forget the Temporary Insanity tournament in Benton Harbor on the 19th. The tourney page says that if 50 people attend, the cities will install a permanent course in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph! Sweet! Get the word out! Two new courses!

After reading the mlive article ( http://bit.ly/1kZtciS ), it seems they could have done more. Problems with teens drinking and partying? Have a patrol roll through every few hours and even take a walk through. It wouldn't take long for the kids to find a new place to chill after weekly arrests.
Vicksburg constantly has cops rolling through the parking lot, and sometimes even on foot through the park - and they are extremely polite while doing it. I had an officer stop walking to let me ...

Sweet that's 2 minutes right down the road!! Let me know if you need any assistance with anything. That would be so awesome. I'd even be willing to help take care of the course, organize events and so on.
Larry, do you generally make contact with potential course clients or do you actively seek out potential course sites? I only ask because in Branch county there is the county park River bend park. Its 25 acres, moderately wooded and mostly flat, but would easliy house 18 holes. Do you give quotes on just course design or does it include hardware, installation, etc?

Very sad indeed. I thought the level of garbage had been on the decline, and with them putting in new benches I thought it was a good sign. It was the first course I played and got me hooked on disc golf, hopefully another local course pops up with the baskets that will be removed.
My wife knows a guy who works at the air zoo he said they found shit for shooting up out on the course last week or the week before and that was it what a bunch a dumb asses loved that place drove 45-50 mins one way just to play
Now...I know plenty of disc golfers who might bring a little pot to smoke...but shit to shoot up?? Are they sure that wasn't from some homeless people using the woods as cover and a place to stay? Ugh :-(
Don't know....that's a good point. Guess they just had enough. Nothing wrong with burnin one while playing a round, but shooting up is just stupid.it just really sucks.loved that place.

That's pretty sad :-( It was always a nice little course (way better than Knollwood imo) to get a quick round in.
Larry L.! Any thoughts/ideas on a new location for those baskets? (2nd 18 at Oshtemo? New course at Prairie View, Markin Glenn county parks?) I know, it may be too soon, but I'm one of those guys who likes to turn a bad situation into a good one!
RIP Air Zoo
It's being run by a group of Volunteers now...not making money, but not losing it either...
But I do agree...I suggested it to them when they opened up comments a few years back on what to do with the failing course. There's plenty of space behind the Baseball field (it's even a park) and that road could easily be a "Play 9 on this side, Play 9 on the other"
exactly. i already go behind the baseball feild to practice midrange shooting. thats essentially what airzoo was. maybe 1 day!

That's really too bad. I enjoyed this course. I can understand why they closed it. So many people don't respect the property. Trash, beer, weed has always been an issue there. It's sad that those people cost the rest of us a really good place to play.

That's a bummer, after working 3rd shift we would play there a couple of mornings a week. They warned everybody though !
Daniel Ledden July 7, 2014 at 3:33am
Damn I loved that course sad day
Steve Blink July 6, 2014 at 9:39pm
Course is as far as I know closed and going to be pulled.

I lost my pink Prodigy D1 in the far end of the second pond, I would have cleared the pond but hit the trees at the other end and went in. My name is on the back, reward if found!
Post this info to Facebook "Kalamazoo lost and found disc" it might help you out. If we can get more people on the page the better the chances of disc being returned.

Forgot my red Champion Teebird on hole 17 earlier today. Should be off to the left side of basket in the brush. No ink, but I can tell you the weight on it if you find it.

Nicholas, I have your Nuke SS. My buddy found it in the snow on 2. I told him you posted so he gave it to me to give back to you. Let me know when/where
