Pros: Hole 1 and hole 10 tees from a concrete area behind one of the main buildings. There is a sign stating the basic rules of the game, and that's it. No hole #s or distances for these holes, which is odd, because most of the other tees (Concrete also) have hole # and distance painted on them. (Some of the distances seem to be a little off though.) Hole 1 is a beautiful shot down a hill with a nice lake in the background. This course is slightly hilly and quite scenic. There is a good mix of longer holes and shorter holes and different looks. The course has a high fun factor. It reminded me of Turkey Lake a little. There are several benches and picnic tables to sit and rest on.
Cons: The navigation is kind of tricky, I strongly encourage getting and using the map, or better yet playing with a local. The course plays through a multi-activity campground with a lot of other activities, which could lead to some potential conflicts. Hole 4, for instance, shoots down a narrow alley, then ducks behind a cabin. Plenty of trees for shot shaping, but also some man-made hazards.
Other Thoughts: What an interesting course set in an absolutely gorgeous campground. Calling ahead is probably a good idea, as it is a private course, and will be closed if there is something big going on. If there is nothing going on, you may have the whole course to yourself! Very friendly people run this place, and it is very clean. Please be on your best behavior here, and don't litter!
