Holes 2-10 play around a meandering pond which comes into play for several of them. A few of the more interesting holes are here.
Holes 1, 11-18 are packed into an area between the road, park driveway, volleyball courts, and tennis courts. There is space for about 4-5 holes, but 9 are crammed in. No one around when I played, but just too dangerous if it were busy. One basket was much too close to the volleyball court.
As described by others, the shots are short and technical mostly. More than half are typical city park holes, with lots of trees, but no rough. Good ground play on many, with the pine needles providing a slick surface. Some of the pond holes have more dense rough with small fairways and greens. No elevation.
The tee pads are all too short. Some worn and uneven. The parks folk were installing new cement pads on 13-15 when I was there. The new pads were still small, but at least level. I could not find long 11, but the rest were marked and the course was easy to follow (I was using UDisc). You had to walk back along the fairway to get to the next tee on several holes, but they were not long walks.
The long pads topped out around 320 ft, but were still challenging because of the many trees. The short pads were in fact very short.
If you’re in Gulf Breeze, it can be a fun course. As someone mentioned, good up shot practice. Don’t expect to be wowed, and keep you head up if it’s busy. Fore!
