I can't believe this isn't rated higher! Bird's Nest is a Denver-metro classic. Right at the frontrange foothills between Golden and that town that's named after bottled water (or the other way around ... show more ›

I really liked this course! I know some people complain about how open it is, but it gives you a chance to throw and actually watch the flight of the disc. I really liked playing the openness and it ... show more ›
B- Mike Davidoff Jul 2020 Not a bad course. Would be best played in the spring when the vegetation is vibrant. Not too hard to follow the course from what I remember.
B Alan Amos Jul 2020 It has been a bit since I played this course. I remember it was a fun course, but sagebrush could hide the discs at times.
A Adam Chainsfadays May 2020 One of my favorites and designed by one of the greats!!! Love the new UFO landing green John!
A- Bryan Jenks Apr 2020 Really wish hole #4 had concrete tee box.
A Matt Batrowny Jun 2019 Great course, need a mix of shots to play well

One of the better courses you can play in the Denver metro area. 3 downhill holes, 1-2 uphill, the rest are fairly flat. More than half the holes have multiple pin locations and are rotated a few ti ... show more ›

From what I heard, my brother and I simply picked the wrong day to play at Birds Nest. Apparently, the person who regularly mows the grass couldn't do so because his mower was not working so the grass ... show more ›
B+ Daryl Huschka Sep 2016 Great open place to play just hard to find disc ever now and again. But love the layout
B+ Jason Drobeck Jun 2016 Great course for beginners and veterans, can be overgrown at times.

Great course, open throws and a few tree crowded throws for technical throws. Windy on the first few throws where the elevation is a little higher but in the plains its not so bad. tall grass in the s ... show more ›

One of the better & more challenging courses in Denver, and yes I'm aware that's not saying much as Denver courses as a whole are pretty 'meh'. But the layout is creative with the land, some elevation ... show more ›
B- Ben J Oct 2015 Hard to navigate, but cannot do much about it because of sign vandalism.. Fun holes, but mostly straight shots..

Would really like to give this course a better review because it truly does have potential. Fun shots, a possible 26 holes, good baskets, big pads on every hole I played, great views & very quiet. On ... show more ›
B Steve Roybal Apr 2015 WINDY but fun. challenging, and overall a good experience every time I go.
B Brian Schuyler Jan 2015 Long course with lots of challenging foliage to lose a disc within. The course layout is funky, and the hole lengths and locations are fun to play. Scenery is gorgeous with the mountains behind the sage brush and cactus of the course itself.
B+ Taylor Tot Sep 2014 Always windy--NEVER busy. Beautiful backdrop on most holes. Good luck finding your disc in the long stuff. They rarely mow down the tall grass on most holes. Keep a good eye on your disc or have someone spot it for you. Great course!
B Dan Chando Sep 2014 Big arm course. Lot's a long, open holes. Best to play in the early spring or late fall. It get's pretty over grown in the summer time, and it can be extremely hot since there are virtually no shaded areas. It can be a bit tricky to follow so it's best to play with someone who knows the course.
B- Chi Beard Nov 2013 Fun course with nice elevation change. The distance variation is about perfect. Most shots wide open with multiple lines. Not many obstacles to navigate.
B- Tim Becker Nov 2013 Good location, although its a little dusty out there its got some challenging shots and not too many are chip shots, defiantly a challenging course
C+ Jim Limer Apr 2013
We were here in March, 2013. Conditions were windy, in the 50's and no snow. Tee boxes were very hard to find at times (most were only piles of rocks), we accidentally skipped one hole, and the trails ... show more ›
D+ Anthony Desappio May 2021 Should be dust bowl not birds nest!
B+ Rob Jackson Apr 2012 Long and open. Fun for long throwers. Sometimes windy, and by late summer the grass can get a little long. All in all a well-kept course with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains.
A Larry P Apr 2011 A fun course...close to home and baskets moved periodically for extra challenge. A TIP! Use your camera phone to take a pic of course maps on unfamiliar courses so you don't hold up play looking for the next tee!
B- Patrick Blazek Jan 2011
Now this course is a fairly wide open course but they did a great job with the space they were provided. It's right by the foothills so there's some pretty cool views of the mountains. It's a pretty l ... show more ›
