Bias as a good, flatish winter course.

Course is a little easier, more RHFH friendly than I remember. Mishmash or not clearly marked teepads, baskets are slightly easier to see. Good, tight lines, and the best course to play glow disc golf as Westchester and Hanshew have bright LED lighting.

Footing off the tee can be terrible with small deadfall, hopefully the back 9 has more elevation change.

So nice to have a course on the northeast side of Anchorage. They have done a great job of clearing out space so you have approachable lines to each hole. There are two tee pads on each hole, red and blue. I believe that the red is an exceptional intermediate course with fair lines and the blue tees create an added challenge that is consistent with professional tees.

The one critique I do have is that #3 and #9 should be played as a par 4's from the blue tees rather than the listed par 3.

Overall a great 9 hole course if you need a quick round or a fun and challenging 18 hole course if you have the time.

It's long been a dream of mine to see a public course in East Anchorage, and when the opportunity arose a few years back to pursue a course here at Davis Park I couldn't have been more excited. The design stage definitely presented a challenge for Adam (with help from myself) but with the work put in by the Youth Employment group and ADGA volunteers we have turned the property into a challenging yet enjoyable wooded nine hole course with two tee pads per hole.
The course is technical in nature, requiring a variety of shot shaping to score well. Multiple pin positions on each hole allows the course to be set up in different configurations. The red tees play shorter in length while the blue tees are mostly longer yet offer a different line on many of the holes. I find myself throwing everything from backhand hyzers, hyzer flips, turnovers, sidearms, and even the occasional roller. I've mentioned a few times to others that I feel the course is a great training ground for those learning the sport, as it presents challenges for every stage of player development. The spacious football/rugby/ultimate fields provide room for field work as well if you just want to open up and toss some plastic around in the open.
The course was designed with the future in mind as well, as we hope that the city will eventually allow us to expand the course to 18 holes.

Quality course with a lot of love put into it. Each hole is designed for control and aim specifically. The course navigates through the trees and provides a challenge to thread the needle. I would say this course is not a power course, but more of a finesse and skill course.

I played last week after a huge snow storm and my friends lost 3 of champion destroyers. Red, Pink, and colored. (I have now tied a bright string to make it easier to find in the snow and it makes a worlds difference) If you find them they have my phone number on them. Best of luck and enjoy the course!
