This is a beautiful course. It's laid out really well and well kept. All the tee pad signs were in place and every basket had hole number flags on top which made it easy to see.The tee pads are concrete and have the hole number paint on the edge. The course is fairly flat and the Red tees are very reasonable distances. There are a total of 20 holes which seems odd. The surroundings where quit beautiful. The first nine holes are woodsy and the rest are fairly open. This makes this course a great place for beginners. Some of the first holes were muddy in places with thick mud that I sank into a bit, so be careful because you could slide a bit.I found Heritage DGC to be a fair and well balanced course. There is a good variety of holes. Also you will be playing in the sun for a good part of the day since more than half the holes are not wooded. So be aware of this and prepare for it. There is no where there to get water, so make sure you bring it. This was a great place to play. I highly recommend it.

This course is a lot like Middletown course. Its a pretty easy course from the short tees. The front 9 has a lot of strategy shots as trees are in play a lot which makes you vary your shots. The back nine is is just zig zaged back and forth with just little trees and some holes feel exactly like a hole you played before. I like the feature of a 19th hole which is really long from the back tee and very tight although it seems like its always muddy in that area. Also there is a 20th hole but we had no idea where that was. Overall its a nice course with nice baskets with some challenge in the front 9 and an average back 9.

Another decent course in the area of Frederick, MD. Mostly wide-open baskets just like Middletown Park's course. The wind's always a factor here as well. Advanced players can avoid getting bogeys on a good day. Basket 19's a tunnel shot & the blue tee's really a par 5 which plays back to basket #8 & 20's back to the practice basket.
