if you wish to make the fairways OB for 1 and 10, then 1 definitely becomes a par 5. You're taking rollers out of the equation. As for the teebox on 18, I think if we place our tee close to the ball golf tee that creates an interesting shot. the pine tree behind 17's basket comes into play a bit then. You can choose straight at it with slight left to right, a bit hyzer bomb, or FH shot. John and I talked about making the tree and creek line behind the basket OB on drives only with a drop zone. We play it as casual water now but if you go deep off the tee there's no risk for trying to ace run it or overpowering your shot. No stroke penalty, but makes you come back maybe halfway down the hole and throw again. yes you could park the shot and get your 3 still, but the guy that played his shot smart and controlled gets his 2. I like the idea.let me know when you guys plan to head out there. If it a weekend I might need more notice but i'd be happy to offer input or provide guinea pig throws.
