NOTICE: I was approached by the Powder Mill property owner due to last weekend's event (also concerns with conflicts due to Marji Gessick race at Old Town). For future events, all organizers MUST provide their own insurance including Named Insured Certificates for the property owners. UPDGA is responsible for the Powder Mill, Silver Creek, and Al Quaal courses, and has entered into Land Use Agreement easements with the property owners to provide, construct, and maintain them. The Association maintains insurance policies covering all property owners, as well as the equipment the Association owns and operates. Since UPDGA owns the course equipment and is responsible for replacement and upkeep due to wear and tear, the Land Use Agreements allow fees to be collected for other use of the course. For 2023 and on, any other entity looking to reserve the courses for an event will be required to provide certificates of insurance and pay a reservation fee ($250 per day, $150 per half day, $50 per league night).

Left a hot pink MVP Neutron Atom and a one of a kind blue and baby pink swirl Discraft McBeth ESP Buzzz with various shades of pink stamp somewhere between holes 16 and 18 on Thursday Sept 5th. My name and number is on the Buzzz — it is very unique in appearance and I’d really love to get it back. I’m sure I left them right by a basket or out in the open, and it is likely that someone has picked them up by now. Reward if found and returned to me. Thank you!

Update: course looks amazing. Seems as thou a group got out there and did some real work today. Its amazing what can get done when a group of people come together for part of a day and do work. Brody and I removed most everything that was cut up all the way to hole 10. There's still a little cleanup left, but most everything has been cut. The stump is completly gone on hole 10 and the basket is fixed on 11. Great job to the folks that went out today and took some time out of there day.

5th annual silver creek open is cancelled. Course is a absolute disaster and almost unplayable. Sure hope the locals and those who play/run leagues there can step up and start doing some work. Maybe cancel a league and do cleanup or something. As of now it will not be part of Da yooper states in its current condition.

Lost my A2 a few Sundays ago (Oct 3 maybe?) at Silver Creek, it's the one in my profile pic. Forgot to pick it up during doubles on hole 5 after I got a phone call informing me I had to come in to work. Someone picked it up because we saw it, but I forgot to grab it before leaving. He looked after the round with no luck. We assume a walker must have taken it because we didn't see anyone else playing... huge bummer.
