A- David Yates Aug 2023 This course has been getting better and better.
A Vance Oliver Aug 2023 Love Mathews Park / John Reid Memorial! Watch out for the water on hole 15 especially
B+ Keith Bell Mar 2023 I like this course a lot. It needs a few more details such as more trash cans and mandos marked better. Neither are nearly enough to keep me from coming back regularly.
A- Clem "Goodbeer" Clemmons Jan 2023 Great course for forehand and backhand players. Water features in play. Par 3. Well maintained. Check out the Facebook group for Walton County disc golf. Great group of locals.
A- Paolo Repetto Jan 2023 Great Park!
B+ Chris Lynch Jan 2023 Great little course!
A- Curt Boren Jan 2023 The course has been renamed to the "John Reid Memorial DGC at Mathews Park". The Walton Disc Golf Club and the city of Monroe have been putting in the work to get the course back to tip-top shape.
A- Jeff Miller Jan 2019 Great job cleaning up the undergrowth. Pretty course in the fall.
A Luke Shorr Jun 2018 Matthew's Park disc golf course is a very well made course. I wish there were more signs pointing in the direction of the next holes but it wasn't too much trouble.
A- Paul Grice Apr 2018 First time I played this course! Its a very nice course - has water hazards and multiple mando and OBs! Has cement pads and a couple of elevated wooded tees! Has anhyzer and hyzer lines!

As a fairly new player, I didn't get to see this course before all the hard work was put in, to make this course what it is today. Matthews is my home course, and I couldn't be any more proud of it. I ... show more ›
B+ Kason Moody Mar 2017
One of the most underrated courses in the area. A great course with great lines. Most holes are fairly short, but it's mixed up with some fun long holes as well. Great tee pads, and the basket positio ... show more ›

Disregard any review before 2015. This course has been totally remodeled. It maintains much of the layout of the original design, but has concrete tee pads, professional graphic signs, constant groomi ... show more ›
A John Reid Oct 2016 This course is better than ever with all the new Permanent teepads and new signs along with different pin placements on some holes and with the fairways being maintained better its a great little course to play.
A R. Lee Phillips May 2016 Much has been done to improve and maintain the course. There are now concrete pads, new signs, alternate pin placements on several holes, and the course is better kept. Variety of shots/holes; while many are under 300ft, there are still some challenging shots. Fun course.
A Brian Yoder Apr 2023 Great course. All holes have permanent tee pads and some holes have multiple pin locations.
B Jay Mc Jun 2014 Fun course, 1st thumber ace there.
C+ Brad Brundage Apr 10 Not a great course, but fun to play.
F- Jaron Shaffer Feb 2024 It doesn't exist anymore, just a bunch of cut down trees
B Luke McFarland Oct 2010 very short. Good use of trees. Sometimes you have to walk to get to a teepad, but it's not too bad.
