This course was absolutely beautiful. The setting is miles from the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach. The ocean breeze coupled with the hills and wide openness make this a difficult Par 3 course. I enjoyed the people there, friendly and down-to-earth. The course was I think $2 to play 18 holes. I enjoyed it, great workout and fun environment.

The first 9 holes are technical shots. Due to trees and hills. They make a good warm up for the back which have more distance tosses. Especially if the ever moving baskets are in the long spots. Overa ... show more ›

The first 9 holes are technical shots. Due to trees and hills. They make a good warm up for the back which have more distance tosses. Especially if the ever moving baskets are in the long spots. Overall it’s the perfect course to learn what discs do. The holes/routes mimic a discs natural flight pattern.

Overall I don’t think you can go wrong on arguably one of the first courses made and birthed the legend Paul McBeth.

Weekends and tournament days can be crowded though.

Fun course, it looks like the signage problem that others were talking about has been fixed - I found the signs to be accurate and looked brand new. The course offers elevation change, multiple tees/baskets and quality discatcher baskets. The fairways are in great condition, and the whole thing looked professional. There is a proshop at the start of the course along with 3 practice baskets.
CONS
The fairways are a little tight at times. we ran into a track team running through the course, but that is not the course's problem considering that there are no trails through it and it stays quite far away from the other parts of the park
OTHER
Costs $2 to play, very cart friendly, great course for all skill levels

Fly pad tee's are slick as course gets dusty
Cramped course, many fairways close together - results in lots of mandos
Pay-to-play (2$)
Repetitive holes - I find myself throwing the same disc over and over
Signs are outdated and need updating
No running water or bathrooms, only a porta-john

Very busy course, 3 dollar pay to play on weekends and 2/ weekday. The course is very challenging but I can see with more play it would get easier as you learn placement. The rubber tee mats are cool. Really appreciated the pond with tons of ducks. Keep your eyes peeled and stay aware because tee pads are placed very close to baskets. Enjoy one of disc golfs first ever permanent courses!

The first 7 holes of this course are very nice. Lots of trees, some elevation, and interesting angles. The remaining parts of the course get long and out in the open for the most part. Pin placement is the key for making the course difficult on this track. Overall it is a very nice course with a very cool stand alone pro shop.
