Course is well designed and obviously well played. There are some rough areas, but they did a great job defining fairways. One tee for each hole but 2 baskets.

After playing the Crane Hill Open 2014, I've bumped my rating up from a B to B+. I think this course is almost just as fun as Maple Hill and costs a hell of a lot less (I rated Maple Hill A-). Sure, there is no pro shop and the signage sucks if you didn't know which tee to go to next, but it still ranks very close to Maple Hill. With 2 teams in the New England Team Challenge based here and a ton of local players, I can only imagine this course will improve over time.

I just played this course on a beautiful summer day. There were two others playing the course that were able to direct me where to go. I agree with the others that it has a very good mixture of holes. I will likely play again. I would request that the course map be uploaded to the website so that you could print it out. I would also like to know what the par is for each hole.

This course was a lot of fun to play. I managed three rounds in one weekend while visiting Wilbraham. Played in late autumn. Would love to see the course in mid summer. There are some very cool holes ... show more ›

This course was a lot of fun to play. I managed three rounds in one weekend while visiting Wilbraham. Played in late autumn. Would love to see the course in mid summer. There are some very cool holes on this course. Great mixture of woods holes and open holes. Two baskets on every hole! The state of the course on the weekend I played was awesome. There was a laminated map available on the back side of the kiosk. Wicked useful. Never would have been able to navigate without it. Even with it I had a couple challenges. The locals were plenty and they were a friendly bunch. Everyone I encountered was chill. The tee pads are solid rubber mats. Really nice. Some raised platforms where necessary. Some of the basket locations are wicked challenging: well protected baskets after long and nasty fairway corners. Some grass fairways which look maintained. Pretty. Good elevation change holes. The scenery was impressive. I will revisit come summer.

Played this course, it was fun and tee pads were in good condition. There are some wooded holes that are long and tight. Played in the fall in the grass was high which made the open field hole tougher. Elevation changes were fun and not too difficult. The pin placements weren't not very hard so if you can keep it straight you will have fun here. The big downside is signs not clearly labeling holes but also no hole yardage while your on the course. There was a hole or two with multiple baskets and it would have been good to see that in advance. There are a few hole to tees that are confusing. There is not many holes that require spotters so that is a plus. I give it a B+ and the with signs it would easily be and A.

Played this course while visiting family in the area, thought it was a blast. I'm new to the game, but I thought the holes were challenging, but not impossible. The "woods" holes (explained to me by some regulars) were tight and your score could vary depending on which tree you hit (or didn't hit). Nice change in elevation between holes. The tee pads were a nice rubber matting, I found them all clean and in great condition. The course markings need to be replaced and a few directional arrows guiding you around the course would bring my rating to a straight A. I got turned around a couple times trying to navigate the course. Directional arrows at the base of the baskets point to the next tee pad. Bring bug spray.

Played this course for the first time on Saturday. Wicked fun course with a good mix of tight shots, and holes where you can really just let 'er rip. The fact that it is located on a beautiful plot of land certainly doesn't hurt either. This could be a legitimately fantastic course if it were just a bit easier to navigate. I played with someone who's played the course before, and we still got lost on several occasions. There are no obvious directional markers and the holes are very poorly signed. Yes, the tee pads are kind of crummy, and only a few of the holes have signs showing the pin location. As far as I'm concerned, those are minor annoyances. Those are also updates that I know take a lot of work and some capital. I'm fine with that. Just please....some directional arrows and some signs at the tee pad saying what hole it is. That's all I'm asking.

If the course were easier to navigate, I'd be willing to make the drive out from central MA on a much more regular basis. The course itself is a blast to play, and its in a really beautiful area. But, its hard to justify making the drive when I spend more time looking for the next tee pad than I actually do playing.
