Surprisingly balanced course with 3 distinct tracks that plays about and around the college campus.
The front nine features the longest and most open holes, playing on an open meadow that loops back to hole 1. Fairways are generous with little in the way until reaching the green. As it's in the open, wind can be a big factor.
The middle nine has several drives that are more technical than the front. Most of the holes are shorter, with indirect lines to better guarded greens.
The final nine are shorter and more narrow yet (mostly 200ft - 240ft), dipping back into the woods for the final 5 holes.
Overall, there's a little bit of something for everyone and the property is very well kept thanks to the college grounds keepers. The league and local disc golf group has also been steadily improving the course over the years.
A couple minor quibbles:
A few of the newest holes (back 9) don't have teepads yet.
During baseball season, several holes on the middle nine might not be playable because teeball dads like to park in the fairways.
The Pars on the original 18 are VERY generous (300ft Par 4's). I recommend paying the "Pro Layout" on UDisc, which are much more realistic and include rules about OB and Mandatories.
This is the best public course in Barron County.
