Alcantra Disc Golf Course is Alaska's second most heavily played course and is located at the Alcantra Outdoor Recreation Facility in Wasilla, Alaska off Seldon Road and past Ron Larson Elementary.From Anchorage, the recommended route during heavier traffic is to take a right on Crusey, followed by a right on Bogard, left on Peck, right on Wasilla Fishook, right on Seldon, and right on Larson Elementary. Alternatively, turn on Main Street (which becomes Wasilla Fishook.) During rush hour, exit on Trunk, and follow trunk through the first roundabout, past the college and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy, and left at the next roundabout. Follow Bogard/Seldon for about 6 miles to Larson Elementary. The Course Consists of 2 layouts with a total of 20 unique holes.
The 18 hole larger tournament style layout has holes ranging anywhere from 166 - 301ft with anything from tight wooded straight lines to longer much more open fairways with much longer shots than the smaller 9 hole layout. The 18 hole layout takes about an average of 1.5hrs to play through with two people totaling just under 4200 feet.
The original and smaller more family friendly 9 hole layout consists of holes that range anywhere from 168-272ft long with wooded and tight technical lines great for honing accuracy. This course takes about 45 minutes to play through for two players.
