This is a great 18 hole course through a heavily wooded area. A few of the signs are misleading because of some changes that have been made. The trees at this course will test the skill and resilience of any player. If you are looking for a challenging course to test your technical expertise, I would highly recommend this course.

Best course I've played since moving back up here. In the past, they had no tee boxes, but now they have concrete boxes and mulch around the baskets. Great technical course shooting between trees but also has some nice, longer fairway drives. People should stop throwing their trash on the ground, there are trash cans at each tee box. Also, the course recently got remolded so it can get just a little confusing if its your first time playing until they put up new signs. Although people did sharpie on the new layout for the holes.

This course was fuckin badass!! Only reason it's not getting a A+ is the distances were not very long. I mean there are some longer hole's but I would imagine that in the summer when you are not consumed by layers of under armour, and down filled jackets, and snow pants, heavyset boots, that all but maybe 2 holes would be reachable by an advanced am1 player with not much trouble. Nonetheless it was a great course!! More so the dudes who run the leagues up here in Alaska and the dudes who throw the leagues are just fuckin down to earth and fun to disc with!! Definitely not a bad place to set up shop if need be. Looking for some property and possibly gonna end up here building a disc golf course. We shall see...... The next couple months are going to be a bit difficult and we're going to have some serious decisions to make that will affect the rest of our lives and our children's lives so we are a lil stressed out but as long as the wife and I stick together and discuss everything there shouldn't be no problems. DAMN!! Sorry bout the novel. I don't even remember what I was originally talking about. There it is!! I was reviewing a course in Alaska!! Possibly my new home!!

I don't see how a person could dislike this course, cause it will only improve your game. But I had a good time. The people I met were friendly and nice enough to show me the course

Peters Creek is the first place I threw a disc, back in the spring of 2007. Over the years I've played several hundred rounds at this technical, tightly wooded course. During the summer of 2013, the Alaska Disc Golf Association remodeled the course, changing several of the holes and installing long awaited concrete tee pads. This project consumed a great part of my summer (including my vacation for the year) so I may be somewhat biased, but I consider the new course to be one of the best in the state.
While it's not the longest course, it does present challenging lines and tests a wide variety of the shots in your bag. The ability to scramble for par amongst the many spruce, birch, and cottonwood trees is essential to score well here, although a hot hand off the tee may find themselves with many opportunities to rack up the deuces.
The course/park is used frequently by disc golfers as well as people who enjoy walking the trails. The two user groups coexist fairly well here, as most of the locals seem to respect each others' presence. Trash cans are provided at every tee, and the course is generally clean and tidy in appearance. The remodeling efforts included mulching much of the fallen and trimmed wood, which not only acts as erosion abatement but also gives a visual indicator of the basket/fairway areas.
One of the most common complaints about Peters Creek prior to the remodel was the tee areas. With the installation of concrete tees, I would invite those who haven't played the course in a while to come and check out all the positive changes that have been made. My previous review of the course (as well as many others) mentioned the tees, and I have raised my rating of the course accordingly. This course is a gem, just a 20 minute drive north of Anchorage. It should be on any visiting disc golfer"s agenda.
