This course has 18 holes and will test your physical fitness as well as your dg game. Many holes are either up or down, or both. Hikes between holes include elevation change. There is a good mix of long and short holes and many are tight. I would not recommend playing this course solo; you will lose disc(s). If you want to challenge your game, hit this one up right on Miami’s campus.

Miami U. - Oxford is a beautiful course as it is located just behind the Art Museum on campus and it has a pleasant atmosphere and features some truly unique holes! The new signs look superb and I can tell that the local disc golf community has really given this course some TLC because it has a really "clean" feel to it. The only knock I can really think of is they don't have concrete tee pads yet (just "dirt" tee pads) but otherwise, this is a top-notch course! The front nine is mostly wooded with some really sweet tunnel holes and blind shots where you need to bring your best hyzer line throws! Hole #6 is a beast at 500+ ft. and involving a relatively large fairway but still...it is easy to screw up on this one! The back nine consists of more open holes such as the wonderful downhill Hole #10 (355 ft!) and generally open holes involving hills and the occasion hazard (water hazard on #17). Overall, this is a wonderful course that I would put right up with Harbin Park and Monroe Community Park as one of the very best local courses within 30 minutes of Fairfield. If they ever put tee pads in, I would upgrade it to an "A-" or better without a doubt!

I am a novice, and this is in my backyard. So I think it is really nice, but more experienced players may be more critical. I am reviewing the new layout as of fall 2018. The course has recently been redesigned. Start at the Miami University Art Museum. Hole #1 just south of parking lot/museum building. Course is on UDISC app. The front 9 (after hole 2) is in wooded tight fairways. Tough for a novice like me to keep in the fairway. Some shorter holes to start out with, then a nice long downhill on #6. over a creek for the long tee on #7. Nice distances on #8 & #9. (good hike uphill through woods from to #9) On hole #9 the course opens up. More open spaces with trees in grass (as opposed to thick understory). This course goes through the Western Campus of Miami University and is very nice. Well maintained. good deal of up and down hills.

Maybe only 9 holes but for beauty and diversity of area, I LOVE this course. fantastic setting. Yes it was one of my first courses played, but recently went back and realize how awesome it is. Had enough with holes that have you on flat fields and roads? Try it out. Two thumbs up. Highlight - throwing under an arched cobblestone bridge!
