Kudos. After the renovation of baskets, teepads and the addition of the back 9, Burnet Woods is now one of the most enjoyable courses in town. The original nine was an acquired taste, with some absolutely classic looks, like the downhill bomb on old hole one, and the blind ace runs on old holes seven and nine. The new nine faces the obvious challenge of plopping half a course onto preset terrain and forest, however you will find some really nice workarounds going up, down, across and right into some of the steep hills. The one tournament that gets held here every year is probably plenty, I don't see this being considered anything of a pro level course, or even much of a challenge making par. What Burnet may lack in difficulty and variety, it makes up for in character and outright playability. The rounds I've played here with two or three buds takes just over 90 minutes, and doesn't feel like a total slugfest like Mt. Airy and Johnson Hills. If you haven't played since the start of 2022, I heavily suggest a revisit to the NEW Burnet Woods

I actually enjoyed the layout and there are some fun challenges to be had on this 9-hole course! The lush green atmosphere is nice and the landscaping/mowing is fine. The only real problems I have are with navigation (HORRIFIC...it took me a while to figure it out even with a map) and the teepads being essentially dirt with a wooden beam at the end of it. New teepads would be huge honestly and real signs instead of those posts would be more aesthetically pleasing. This course could easily get a B from me but it does need some TLC.

Its a fun little course where you have to duece or die. It has no tees and usually a lot of non-golfers running around. It lays beautifully on the University of Cincinnati campus. Local club runs ... show more ›

Its a fun little course where you have to duece or die. It has no tees and usually a lot of non-golfers running around. It lays beautifully on the University of Cincinnati campus.

Local club runs a temporary tournament here and I highly recommend if you're close enough to check that out, 9 temporary baskets (THEY SHOULD BE PERMAMENT).

I only give it a C- because it needs the permament back 9 and tees. If it got some TLC, WOW, what fun you could have.
