2021 Michigan Professional State Championships (A-tier)
$3,000 in added cash! Thank you to our wonderful sponsors!
-Date: Sept 17-19
-Location: Tittabawassee Trails in Freeland, The Jungle in Sanford, Wickes Woods in Saginaw
-All divisions will play one round at each of the courses. Divisions will be split into pools close to the event once registration gets closer to an actual number.
-Courses will all be played as their normal layouts from long pads on every hole.
-We’re adding an Exhibition Final 9 Doubles play, skins of $50-$100 on every hole. (more info in the DGScene link)

Attn disc golfers. After months of hard work, Taymouth Twp. Park in Burt ( west birch run ) has got a huge makeover and is now ready to play. This course now boasts 18 holes with longs and shorts. Teepads are spiked down, extra large, 4 X 10 wall carpet ( this stuff is awesome!) Freshly painted chainstar baskets. A great mix of holes with 6 in the park and 12 wooded holes. This course now has a landscaped and elevated basket with death putt. 4 single mando's for safety and fun. Several water hazards. 2 exciting risk vs reward double mando's. An ace run hole. A pole hole. A triple mando. And a superb island hole surrounded along in front and both sides by creeks. Course info has been updated on disc golf scene and the process has begun on udisc and should be complete in a week or so. But you won't get lost. There is excellent signage and the bottom rung of the baskets has been painted pointing the way to go. This is no longer the crap course it used to be. Course amenities and odds and ends work are ongoing.

This sunday, August 5th we will have a clean up day to better this course. The township will be helping us cement in the posts for our new signs! Any lawn care tools you are willing to lend would also be very helpful, as the course could use some weed whacking, mowing, and trimming.

Alright everyone, I apologize for the delay, but I now have the Freeland signs in hand. Tri City Kustoms did a great job. We have 26 Tee signs that are 18” by 12” and include an anti graffiti vinyl film. The sponsor signs will go below these to advertise their support. They are printed on sturdy aluminum to make sure they will last through the weather conditions for years to come. We will have 6 directional signs painted by the talented Alisha Grace Schafer, and 2 mando signs. Let’s give this course a facelift!

So, I would like to plan a day for installation and to do some course cleanup. The only request the township had was that we do not use a chainsaw. Let’s discuss a Sunday coming up that works for those willing to lend a hand. I will bring food and drinks.

The neglect to this course is off the charts. A few holes no longer have any fairway. More have very little fairway left. And even more have half their fairways gone. Not to mention the paths from baskets to the next teepad. Not to mention all the tree branches and logs in the fairways. Somebody said they where gonna get together and square this course up and myself and others volunteered to help, but that has evidently fallen by the wayside. Count me in if somebody wants to step up and organize a clean up to this awesome course. It needs about 30 people with long handled loppers to go all texas chainsaw massacre on the fairways and paths for about a week to return this course to the condition, and playability, and enjoyability of old.
