I would have love to come work with you guys at Milo for the BSF cleanup, but Fathers Day activities are usually planned for our family months ahead of time. I'm sorry I can't make it, but you can count me in on any clean up days that I haven't been aging Cuban cigars 6 months for. lol

Thanks everyone who attended the Stumptown club meeting last Thursday. We had an awesome turnout at Next Adventure’s new warehouse. We had lots of fun playing the mini course, eating pizza, and talking about disc golf. Thanks Next Adventure for your hospitality, and raffle donations. Winners of the two $50 Next Adventure gift certificates were Melissa Johnson & Eric Lund. Also welcome new members Tigg Orr, Dan Corcoran, Zachery Jespen, Jake Swan, Cam Visconty, Bob Mcalister, Clancy Adams.

RIVAL CLUBS LEAGUE I was thinking of 4 or 5 div. (Open, Amateur, Recreational, Masters, woman) TEAMS. Points scoring based on how many clubs are involved. (4 clubs = 4 possible points per win per team) Two rounds of 18 holes (regular layout) per event. One or two events at each clubs home course or courses if the case may be. Scoring example: 1st event-
Club A has 4 teams of 4 players, 2 finish 1st place @ 4 pts. ea. and 2 finish 4th place @ 1 pt. ea. = 10 pts. for the day.

$40 per player for the season of 4 events. Maybe some side money game to boost payout
and more fun. Season total club points trophy reused ea. year. Div. trophy for club to keep.
Just an idea, lets find other clubs and refine the format. I know 3 other clubs that would like to do it.

I'm looking in to starting a RIVALRY clubs league. Is this something your club may want to be part of? We are thinking of the 2012 season starting the league. We are in the development stage now, so open to ideas. The league will be run on the scene by a comity of one T.D. from each club involved. One or two events on each clubs HOME courses, TEAM FORMAT, Open, Advanced, Am, Masters divisions, Points eared for each round, Trophy for each div. and one for the club with the MOST points. Thank you for sponsoring and having a kiosk at the grand opening of Astoria's new disc golf park!!! The prizes donated and given away to the participants was most generous. I attended the event and would like to personally thank you for the new towel,water-bottle and window sticker. I would have to say that everyone who attended had a great time. GREENWAY PARK DISC GOLF COURSE

WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 2009 - 7-9 P.M.

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District has received feedback from neighbors and residents using Greenway Park, regarding disc golf and how it fits in with other park activities.

Since it's opening in spring 2007, the disc golf course has generated many positive comments from local residents. But we've also heard from park users who are concerned about safety. They've pointed out conflicts between the disc golf course and the natural areas and walking paths. In addition, we have received a petition asking that the course be removed - an action that was opposed by other local residents and park users.

Whatever your ideas or opinions may be, please join the staff of the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District for a neighborhood forum on this topic. It will be held Wednesday, May 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center, Room 203.

The purpose of the forum is to bring the wide variety of Greenway Park users together to discuss these differences of opinion. Through an open exchange of ideas we hope to find a solution that is agreeable to everyone. In the end, our primary goal is to maintain Greenway Park as an open, inviting, multipurpose community park that everyone can enjoy.

THPRD staff from a variety of departments will be in attendance to provide information, answer questions, and facilitate the forum.

it's 6:45 am (2-10-09) and i just got back from portland international air port. it has been snowing since 4:45ish and i would like to know if the meeting will be canceled if the snow continues throughout the day. i posted a thread on the stumptown site asking the same question. please keep me up to date on the status of the meeting. thanx
