Has anyone here had any experience with proposals to a park system for a disc golf course? We've got a small group of people here in Lorain County that have made an effort to contact The Lorain County MetroParks in an effort to expand their disc golf courses. They currently have the one at Mill Hollow (which is obviously not the greatest course in the world) and we have our eyes on a spot for another one. It's not going to be easy, but our initial correspondence have been positive. ... more

However, none of us have any experience in that capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mark your calendars!! Euclid Monday Night Scrambles will make it's return to Sims Park Disc Golf course in 2018 on April 2nd with a 5:15 or 5:30 start, depending on available light.

Also, we are down to the last 6 weeks of the NEO Indoor Putting League held every Monday night at the Lithuanian Club on E. 185 St. Now's the perfect time to get that short game tuned up before the disc golf season begins!!! So if you haven't checked out the putting league, come and have some fun with us on Monday's until we get enough daylight to scramble!!

2018 Ashtabula Ice Bowl is this Saturday. Bring your own partner best shot doubles. Nice warm park office to hang out in before and after the round, always great food provided for lunch. Don't miss it.

Good morning neighbors! The Chain Bangers first annual Snow Bowl fundraising event is coming up next weekend on January 21st. If you are looking for something to do between Frozen Fingers stops this is it. Payouts will be in cash and the funds raised will go towards the Young's Run basket fundraiser. Currently the weather man says it's supposed to me mid 40's. Hope to see some of you there! :)

This committee is a democratic body representing everyone interested in preserving, maintaining, and improving the disc golf course. Going forward, all work on the course will be organized through this committee. Plans are to hold two of these meetings per month.

As with previous years, there will be a $5 League Entry Fee and a $10 buy-in per league night. The NEO Indoor Putting League will commence the 2017-18 season on November 13th at 6:30!! We will be back at the Lithuanian Club for this year on E. 185 Street in Cleveland, OH!!!

As with previous years, there will be a $5 League Entry Fee and a $10 buy-in per league night. The League Entry Fee entitles you to the end of the year raffle for the MVP Black Hole Basket, similar to last year. Also, for every league night played, you will get another entry into the raffle. Also, for 2018, we will be selling raffle tickets to give away an additional MVP Black Hole Basket loaded with goodies, with all proceeds going to the Lithuanian Club. Tickets will be $1 each, 6 for $5, and 14 for $10.

The format will remain the same, with three rounds of putting at 10, 20, 25, 30 and 40 feet stations, with 3 putts in round 1 and 2 per station, and 2 putts per station for round 3, with 40 putts used each night. Points and scoring will remain the same, and the payout scale will also be carried over from last year for the each week and the league champ!!

Spread the word and let's get this league growing!! Hopefully we can get some nights with 30+ golfers!!

As always, I'm open for suggestions. If anybody has any ideas to make this league better, please let me know!

Masters and older players... Sunday, Oct 8th at Kent State Main ... B-Tier event just for 40+ players... this is the last event of the 2017 Ohio Masters Series... 2 rounds... Nice players pack... no pre-reg required... weather looks good...
