2013 MDGC Single & Bag Tag League
Hello everyone!
Once again I will be running the Bag tag and singles league. This League will be on wednesdays nights starting at 5:45 pm at Fuller Park. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. The rules will be different this year regarding the bag tags. First there are only 25 tags and entrance into the bag tag league is invite only. Being invited will depend mostly on attendance of single league nights, however being competitive with the better players in town will not hurt either. Se ...

Congratulations to Nick Snelling, Nick Fahy, and Dehrik Bevins for Winning their respective Divisions.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and stuck out the morning weather and afternoon heat.

Singles night July 5th
Everyone SIngles is changing from West Lake to Fuller Park on thursday. Also it will start at 6:00 to 6:15ish. Three reasons why. 1. The holiday weekend 2.Its really hot out there. 3. i haven't played fuller for about three weeks now and i would like to get a round in. Hope to see some of you out regardless of the crazy temp's we have been getting. see you tomorrow

Singles League at Fuller tonight!
Everyone singles league will be a Fuller tonight! On top of the regular round we play, i will be encouraging golfers to bring a plastic bag (i will be bringing some extra as well) to help the cleaup crew tonight by picking up as much trash as possible on the course. I hope to see alot of you tonight!

Singles League created on DGscene
For eveyone wanting to play a night of singles (for bag tags) a league has been created. This will be a handcapped league, however handicaps will not go into the bag tag exchange just the points given for the league itself. This should allow everyone to compete at an even level and show who has improved the most over the summer. I am excited for week two at Camden II i hope to see alot of you there!

Singles league night tonight reminder!
Everyone this is just another reminder that league night for bag tags start tonight! I am super excited to play for tags! I just wanted to remind everyone to bring your bag tags and show up tonight at Credit Island around 5-530 tonight. if you dont have a bag tag you can buy one tonight for $5. excited to see all of you! Summer Tournament
Our first MDGC Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, July 1st @ Fuller Park.
We will be ordering custom tourney discs very soon.
As mentioned at our last Doubles League, we need a NAME for July ASAP.
Please "TALK" on the Club Page over the next couple days.
I will be getting the dye tooled so I can stamp the discs while I'm in St. Louis.

Club Meeting
We held our first official meeting at the Elms this evening.
Cold drinks and a pile of wings led to some good discussion and a few nominations.
Winkel and Stauffer are leading the Maintenance Crew & will be taking over the Clean Up Crew League.
The Sicilian is stepping up as Assistant Director of the MDGC.
Bo is taking on the Party Planning and will be posting news about future Elms parties & Cookouts.

Course Work!
Was out there helping clean up the course this afternoon with Tyson and many others today. Its amazing how so many people have been putting in time to make this course absolutely beautiful. Great work again and thanks!

Course Maintenance
Meeting up Thursday afternoon for course maintenance.
Picking up sticks in fairways to help with mowing.
Trimming weeds around the trees and edge of fairways.
Bring your weed-wackers or line trimmers if you have them.

Lost & Found
When you get a disc you like, you want to hang on to it. Sometimes so much that you forget to release it when your teeing off. I have thrown two of my favorites into the woods on 17 recently. Everybody loses discs. Write your name and number on them. When you find one, call the owner and offer to meet up on the course to return it. Remember the Golden Rule?

Tag confrontations
If I hear or catch wind of anyone threading or wanting to fight someone because they don't want to play for there bag tag...you will be asked for your tag. Also you will be kicked out of the club and will not be able to attend our club events. It makes me sad and very angry that someone would want to fight someone for a tag. It's a piece of plastic guys nothing to get hot headed about.

Club Discs
I checked with Gateway today on our Club Disc order.
They've been busy at the factory in St. Louis..
It looks like the discs will be arriving early next week.
As soon as they come in, I'll be contacting Club members to get them to you.

Lookin' Cleaner & Cleaner.....
In the last several days, members of the Muscatine Disc Golf Club have put in 40+ man-hours cleaning up Fuller Park. The work is showing. The course keeps looking better every day.
Next week hopefully those better numbered tags show up lots of no shows for the past couple of weeks!
I will be there Wednesday, I am going to get caught up tonight on here. I will look to see who is not showing up.
bag tag on wednesdays will try and start 5:30 sharp ! so we can get done before dark
