I think one thing that needs to be discussed is what we do with $148 of Ace Pool money from Sundays leagues and the $178 from Tuesday nights. I kind of thought keep 48 for another league or something to start with incase someone hits an ace. I've always felt that Ace Pool money stays Ace Pool money. I do think the club has the right to shift it around as the club sees fit. You are putting in a dollar for a chance to take it home. Your dollar isn't considered a contribution it's never been used for anything other than Ace Pool money. I know Ben wants to do something different with Ace Pool on Sunday leagues. That's just my 2 cents.

Wow, a whole new club needs to made? I just want to say that with everyones work schedules and family lives it's awful hard as a club organizer to try to hit this moving target to be accomodating to everyone. Why do you have to pick Sunday to run another league out there? If there's so many second shifters that are being put out by the decision to go with a league that doesn't track points why not have it during the day in the middle of the week. Trust me, you'll be doing yourself a favor because the only thing you have to dodge is the lawnmowers. On Sundays you've got every soccer kid in Williams county playing the majority of every weekend day in the summer. Flag football will be in the fall, with the way the course is designed playing next to every other sport field out there it's tough. So we went with a Sunday League to try to accomodate people who worked differeing schedules. We came up with a Bag Tag league to catch everyone else that can't do weekends. People griped about that because the only time they ever want to play is during leagues for tags to the point where we have to switch around the way we did leagues to accomodate those folks. How about just play for tags the way it was meant by actually using the challenge system and working out a day to play with a group of people. Saturdays don'

Hey, Let me know if you want to just be a league administrator under our club. It may be a lot easier and a lot less confusing for people. If you have a time and day and a name I can add that. You can pull in players from any other league and add them with or without an email. If you have their email it will link their scores to their account. If you are still stuck on having a disc golf revolution and running your own league than I wish you luck. The more options for disc golfers the better.

3-4 years ago when the league was started(which is an awesome thing. Many thanks! Really) t was only landed for one day during the week - in the evening. I some up for some that wanted to play in a league in Bryan but work 2nd shift. You folks saw the benefit of a weekend day for league and that it would help grow the club and sport by making it possible for more people to participate. Now it's been decided that no Sunday Singles league is going to be played. At least not until Fall as Ben stated in a post. So those of us that have played and still want to play in the singles league, but work 2nd shift or just cant make it during the week, are again with out a singles league to play in. Please do not think that in any way I am trying to disrupt Fountain City Flyerz. Simply put there are those of us that want to participate in the league as we have for the last several years. We went from being able to play in a free league to our only option is a Cash Game. The Random Draw Cash Doubles sound like fun but not what we want for our only option. We are simply trying tofumd a solution to our problem o not having a league to play in again. We have still and will still contribute to The Flyerz organization as we have in the past.

Leagues aren't over we're simply trying something different. All the ace pool money which was there will be available for the doubles league as an add in. I think a meeting would be good but I'm rarely in town on weekends and won't be this weekend. If I have a vote I think a doubles league would be fun. $5 may be a little high but maybe that's something that could be adjusted. I like the idea of catching folks that want to jump in and play without having to be in a points series where they may be unable to make 6 of 8 weeks. I've already said I'd help you set up a league. If you can get 10 people to commit to a singles league any other time of the week I'll be happy to take a portion of my Tuesday night Ace Pool money to get you started. It was my understanding that there would still be an ace pool for the doubles league. So the money is going nowhere and there never was a plan to do away with Sunday altogether. We simply changed the format.

While planning the doubles league, it was brought to my attention that some of those who work second shift would be potentially willing but unable to attend a doubles league that took place on Thursdays, as was originally envisioned. Josh offered the Sunday morning spot to allow the doubles league to happen on the weekend, since Saturdays are out of the question for me. As we've been discussing this here since March 5th, I expected that those who wanted to have input on the situation had already done so. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Yes John but it makes it a better experience for newer players. a lot of random draw doubles I've played are set up that way to pair a less experienced player with someone higher. it evens out the teams and help the newer players learn more.

I would see taking a teams score and assigning that score to each player on that team for that week and for every consecutive week that they play and averaging them. Lowest half of players by average would be A tier and higher average scores would be B tier. It would be a little difficult but possible to do. I would suggest making it mandatory that people hsow up in advance or at least give you a heads up that they will be there so you can get the cards set up.

I experienced this a bit while I lived in tiffin they put everyone's minis in a five gallon bucket and the top player picks out of that bucket and that's how doubles are chosen. Seems to be a simple way to pick. Maybe the bottom half of the players are the ones that put their minis in the bucket

LOL. I wasn't planning to give it a fancy name, but I will come up with something on my own if I decide to. I just received what amounts to a league-in-a-box yesterday, with scorecards, stat keeping sheets, and the like, so a lot of that is done. I'm looking to start it in May and run through the end of August with a break week around July 4 and possibly one for Jubilee, whenever that is this year.

I would say if you were going to do this, only have 1 singles league going on during the same period. And I wouldn't do a Saturday, Sunday. it would have to be one on the weekend and one during the week.

That's why I'm really liking the idea of Thursdays. I would really like the doubles league to be in addition to the other league rounds and not in place of them, and Thursday evenings are about the best time I can think of to accomplish that. If it turns into a problem, we can figure something out to fix it.

i didn't mean that advanced notice is required I meant that it would be helpful if you are going to go through the hassle of dividing up 2 seperate tiers based on averages and you get to the point where you're ready to go with the cards all set up and then someone comes bumbling into the park 5 minutes late and you have to redo the cards it would suck. Advanced notice would be nice if you're going to be late or you just don't play.
