OK me and Brad finally got it up we have got the Psych Ward Club for Thursday league at the hospital.

We have divisions based on people to show up usually just pro and am but we will also alternate playing doubles also which
Today we might do our first. You don't have to pay to play that is just for the competitive side of some of us. Four dollars is buy in which goes to hundred percent payout and one dollar for the ace pot. Look forward to expanding the local Salem area Disc golfers. We also want to give back to the Salem hospital and so soon I'll be throwing a tourney which will have buy in of like 20 and 4 used older discs. The discs will be donated to the hospital in effort to better their play and expand the disc options. Also I talked with Jeff and he said if we could give the paitience right away everytime and no vaping or smoking on property. Thank u for the time and hope to see u out there

The Port of Cascade Locks and Discvango are looking for 2-3 Pro Women instructors for a Women's clinic @ the Locks Approach DGC for the afternoon of Sun. April 12th. Instructors will be paid $40. I don't know if everyone here knows this but the WDGC has a facebook page. I wish there was just one place for all of the info but it seems we have followed in the footsteps of the tower of babel. It seems we have some hard core golfers who use this site, some soft core golfers that use facebook, and some old core golfers that still use the yahoogroups page. I will try harder to get all of the important info disseminated to the various pages until we all decide on one place.

A message from our Adair greens keeper.

Good evening disc golfers, I just wanted to send out a reminder that this coming Monday will be the club meeting and we will be voting on the addition to a par 4 placement for hole 8 at Adair. We will be opening the floor for about 15 to 20 minutes for anyone to ask questions and discuss the pin position.
To recap the new placement idea, it will be a par 4 that uses the current fairway that is on hole 8. There will be two additional fairways (one going from the left pin placement and one from the right placement) that create a 'dual' fairway going to the pin placement.
The new fairways would go for another 175 feet or so.
I have marked three trees that we would also vote on taking out to make a defined line.
If you have not seen everything marked on hole 8, please take the time this weekend to view the potential changes.
The dual fairways and tree removals have all been approved by Benton county parks.

Who: Members of the Willamette Disc Golf Club.

What: The Presidents Cup 2014. This year it will be 13 holes played thrice.
Pro: $30, Adv: $25, Int: $20. It takes 3 to make a division.

Where: North Albany Park. Sign up at the club meeting Monday Dec 1, all week at Play if Again, or day of.

When: Sunday December 7th.
8:00 am Sign Ups
9:00 am Players Meeting
9:30 am Start of 13 holes
Brunch (BYOB)
TBD pm Start of 26 holes

Why: This is a membership drive for 2015 so everyone should bring $10 to renew membership for the upcoming year. It gives you a dollar discount on all discs in our inventory and a vote on hot topics such as course changes and the leaner log on #10 at Adair. This is a non-PDGA event.

Starting this Thursday & Friday Mar13th & 14th....9am Adam Rudd from Pacific Jack Boots & Gear will be hosting work parties to get the new and old tee pad positions ready to pour!!!

Please bring shovels and other hand tools if you have them and join in the fun....and be some of the first peeps to see, help make and of course throw! the new lines for holes with new tee pad locations.

If all goes according to plan Waterloo will have 18 brand new concrete tee pads within the next 4 weeks....let's get this done people!!!

Oh yes gonna bring in the new year with something crazy. 4 headed monster at Dallas city park. what is that you say? well its like a 3 headed monster but with a 4th. so this is gonna be a 20 hole layout. normal 18 with some twists and 2 added temp holes. so your still wondering what this 4headed monster is??? well its simple. each player has to use 5 of their drives. once a player has used all 5 of their drives they are no longer allowed to drive but can continue to putt and approach. so you step up to your first hole you all have 5 drives remaining. all 4 of you drive and you play partner 3's drive. only partner 1,2,4 can putt and approach that hole. so if you take your drive your done throwing that hole. this format prevents teams from having 1,2 people drive every hole and have the other partners piggy back. this forces all 4 partners to work as a team and decide whats best for the team each hole. oh ya did I forget to say this is 2 ROUNDS. oh yes 2 rounds on the 20 hole layout with all sorts of crazy OB that will drive you insane. $15 per person so $60 a team. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE CASH CTP'S. AS WELL AS SOME FAT PAYOUTS TO THE WINNING TEAMS!!! Get together your team and get to Dallas January 19th.

Just getting back from Adair and good fun round. Also with big thanks out to Lee for driving and trailer we were able to pick up the two framed tee pads that we knew were for us. I had pleasant surprise 1/2 way or so thru my round when Jay Sexton met up with me to inform me we could also have 4 rolled up rubber pads and stakes to go with. This was a very pleasant surprise and we now have 6 rubber pads for CanyonView course till permanent ones get in. Big shout out to Willamette DGC, Lee for his help today to get it done, to those that helped us load them, and to all others who did offer assistance of some kind. Project done, check another one off the list by PacWest and friends.

I'm excited because it's MY first club dubs on the new tee pads!!
They really turned out awesome. I'd sure like to see some of our Salem Homies who helped us on the day of the big pour. I know they are working on a new course (Wheatland DGC) from 1-5. Maybe we can carpool from dubs up to the new course and tear it up!
Hope to see you all out there. Since I missed the first dubs on the new pads, I'll make it special this time. There will be at least 3 CTPs!

Make sure to carb load today, we will be burning off those unwanted calories this Sunday at Wheatland DGC cutting out Hole 7’s fairway! Bring gloves, a machete or brush busting tools like an axe handles and rakes… See you between 1pm and 5pm hours count toward 1%er rewards.
