Let's go LADIES! We have something special for you, but you have to register by Cinco de Mayo, or we are opening the spots to those on the waitlist.

This inaugural 1-day PDGA-B-tier tournament has $1000 added cash to the pro divisions, Am player package worth more than $75, lunch provided, and a player social afterward at Numbers brewery in Lisbon.

The event is part of the NEO Summer Series, and played on the par-64 course true to its name.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering for Jerry Bland this Saturday, April 26, 2 p.m. at Wingfoot State Park, Dogwood Shelter. After an awesome discussion with PK Deaner about a NEO Points Series, SPring Meltdown will be Event #1, Beauty and the Beast will be Event #2 and Flight of the Zeppelins will be Event #3. It would be awesome to be able to run this series through the NEO Open and have as many NEO stops as we can fit into it between #3 and then.

We were also talking about doing both shirts and bag tags for the series. With this in mind, we need to think about funding and art work. The shirts are not a problem, I have a huge stock of blank shirts and a tee shirt press in my basement, I will front the shirts and give 100% of the profits to NEO Alliance Fund for future DG endeavors.

PK came up with the idea to have a design contest for the Shirts and Tags. The same art work will be used for both pieces (assuming everyone is on board with both pieces for the series). We are still working on the details for the contest and the prize for the winner, but it will be sweet and we do want to get a design as soon as possible so I can have shirts ready by Meltdown on 4/19.

I'd like to thank the true sponsors of the the game the people that showed support for a course they love at a trophy only tournament. So thanks to the few but plenty members of various clubs medina, scdga, dover disc golf, summit disc golf, portage disc golf, team jdg, punderson disc golf and any others that played. I'm glad I had am opportunity to benefit a place that has given me great joy and some of the best rounds of disc golf. Thanks
