I teach PE at Polaris K-12 and I'm running a disc golf intensive, 5/6-5/10, with a group of 22 middle and high school students. Would anybody be interested in sharing their expertise for an hour or so with my students? I'd also love to get advice on which course(s) would be best for a group of beginners. Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to introducing this great game!

Here's a look at the preliminary 2024 Alaska disc golf schedule. Question marks indicate a placeholder date from the past but not conformation yet of that tournament happening that weekend. I'm also waiting to hear back from a few TDs on some events so there are some gaps. Let's get this summer filled up, cheers to a bright 2024 of Alaska disc golf.

Disc golf sale - I'm leaving the state, and some of my larger disc golf equipment I'm not going to ship. I have:

An assortment of bags (various prices but I'll sell for half of new value)
3 baskets: a Discraft chainstar ($80), a MVP black hole lite ($30), and a Marksman basket ($80)
A rack for holding discs (holds probably about 150-200) ($15)
I have some discs too but not quite as many as I used to have.

I have other non-disc golf goods for sale, too. EVERYTHING MUST GO

Probably a long shot, but I’m looking for some of my lost discs.

A red PFN DX Valkyrie, somewhere in the 165-75 range. Some variation of my name, or my initials, and a local phone number. I lost it back around 2012, in the left brush before it starts uphill at hole 9 in Kincaid. It was part of my first hand picked DX starter kit at the Dimond Sport’s Authority.

A red Star Ricky Raptor, somewhere in the 173-5 range, my first ace disc. Some variation of my name, or my initials, and a local phone number. I lost it the same summer (2019) as my first ace, on the same hole. Hole 3 at Hanshew. Some kid must’ve grabbed it, or this lovely group of teenage boys that was in front of my gf and I. And for those wondering, tomahawk, just looking for a birdie. My second ace was also with a Destroyer on a less than 300 foot hole, I've never aced trying. #3 was with a Hex, last hole during my first tournament/play in Fairbanks, also less than 300 feet. Okay diatribe over.

Hey guys, Glacier City Disc Club (GCDC) would like to get their first event on the calander for late August early September. We are looking at doing the MVP 3 Disc Circuit Challenge (everyone plays with the same 3 molds (provided by MVP/Axiom/Streamline...Putter, Mid, Fairway). It would be held in Girdwood. Unsanctioned. Probly keep it to 48 players or so. I dont want to ruffle any feathers. Would doing it the same day as the Juneau 8/27 or Fairbanks 9/3 tournements be in bad taste? Is our best option to host it on 9/24 to avoid conflict? Thanks for your insights. Cheers.
