I want to see you guys put together a Wildcard layout. So come up with a layout that uses any combination of pads and baskets. Get creative and show me what you got. The top submissions will be put into a poll and the winner will be played on our final week of leagues. The top 3 submissions will also be added to the layouts on UDisc and Disc Golf Scene. Membership for the 2022 season will cost $40. Since our 2020 club members never received their disc from their membership, and its looking like we never will get them, they will receive a $10 discount on membership this year. So if you were a member in 2020 you will only pay $30 for a membership for the 2022 season.

Congratulations to all the players today that made it to our playoff round today for our Seymour Sunday league. Our point winners at the end of the season were Brandon Welch in singles with 122 points and Andrew Doyle in doubles with 152 points. After our 18 hole playoff round 5 people advanced to the final 11 hole loop. After the final loop Brandon Welch and Jeff Bauman tied in singles with a -5 with Bauman going on to win the Raven Award in sudden death. And in the doubles division Curtis Stimac and John Hamel ties with a -2 after the final loop with Hamel going on to win the Crow Cup in sudden death.
This marks the end of our 10th season running our Sunday leagues at Seymour. It has truly been an honor running this league/club and being able to do all the work that has been happening to Oxford’s courses. I thank everyone of you that has come out to support us over the past decade. Without you there is no way any of this could have been possible. We look forward to another 10 years with you all.
Also come play in the final week of our Thursday Traveling league this Thursday the 11th at Seymour Lake, tee off at 6pm.

The end our our 2021 Seymour Sundays is coming to an end. This Sunday, Halloween, we will have our last week of leagues. If you haven’t joined us on our final week I can tell you it’s the best one. We increase our CTP holes from 1 for $2 to 9 for $7. 1 for cash and 8 for 6 pack beer prizes. Come to play dressed up and you can play for only $5 instead of the usual $10 entry. We will also be drawing the winner for the new Dynamic Discs Recruit practice basket. On top of that it’s the last chance to get in position for the playoff round being held on November 7th. Players who make it to the playoff round will have a chance to compete for the best trophies in disc golf. Who will be the second name on the Crow Cup for our doubles division and who will be the first name on the new Raven Award on our singles division?

We will still accept digital payment if you want and we can still do pay outs digitally. CTP will also go back to normal and be $3 for a cash and merch hole. I also will ask that people keep their distance and avoid making large groups before and after the round. We dont need large crowds hanging out in the parking lot. Seymour Sunday doubles are to start on May 17th
a. Registration will be done online through disc golf scene. Post in the comment section of the league your name, side bet options, the way you paid (paypal or venmo), and the email address connected to your payment.
b. Registration will take place from 8am to 1:30pm on Sunday. You must have your registration done by 1:30pm if you want to play. NO EXCUSES.
c. The CTP side bet, normally $3 for cash and merch, will be $2 for cash only and be on hole 1.
d. After registration is over a list of all registered players and the hole they are starting on will be posted in the comments section.
e. The person whose name is on the top of the group has to come to me in the parking and get the groups score card. This person will also have to keep score for the entire round and return the card to me after the round is over.
f. Players will show up and be ready at their hole to play before 3pm tee off. Once all players are present at the hole then they will flip for partners. Any groups of 3 that are made will have a cali player. The cali player will be decided in the flip for teams.
g. Payouts will be done through paypal or venmo.

I am sorry and I did not want to make this announcement. With the governors orders our leagues will be temporally postponed. This will include our Murder Mitten State Tag rounds, our Thursday Traveling Singles which has already begun, and our Seymour Sunday Doubles which was set to start on April 5th. A future post will be made as to when we will resume league play. For our State Tag holders any rounds submitted past 10pm tonight (3/25/2020) will not be verified and points will not be acquired. We are still planning on having our Spring State Tag Throwdown on April 25th unless changes are forced upon us.

I hope everyone can understand this decision and see that our hands are tied. We do not want to see anyone fall ill and we do not want to aid in the spread of the virus. I still want to see people out playing but doing so intelligently. Please play solo rounds or with members of your same house hold. Avoid touching or licking the baskets so you minimize your risk of contracting whatever may lurk in the chains. All in all be smart. I will keep everyone updated with more info.

As a sign of solidarity and respect to our GM UAW workers on strike MMDGC would like to invite you to play for free at our leagues. So come to our Sunday doubles at Seymour or our traveling singles on Thursday and present your UAW card or GM employee badge and only pay for your side bets. Times are tough financially and that shouldn’t prevent you from getting out and playing in a league. We will continue to honor this until our 2019 season ends or the strike ends, which ever comes first.

Come join Murder Mitten Disc Golf Club and our 4th Annual Hands to the Sun. This will be a C-Tier event for both Pros and Ams.

2 berths for the 2016 Michigan State Championship will be available to win. 1 in Mens AM1 and 1 in Mens AM2.

Some awesome wood minis will be given away as trophies to the top spots in each division.

Everyone will be playing 2 rounds of 18 holes. Ace pool and CTPs are included in registration. If nobody aces during the event than there will be a throw off for the pool.

Player packs will be given away which will include:
- 1 MMDGC custom stamped disc.
- 1 MMDGC can koozie
Dynamic Discs also threw in some great extras:
- 1 DD can koozie
- 1 DD pencil
- 1 DD sticker
- 1 DD mini Judge

Some great prize packs are being put together to be raffled off at the event. Some of these prize packs contain discs from Detroit Disc Co. and Apex Disc Golf Co., Gift certificates from Wolf Pack Discs, and a Mini Recruit basket from Dynamic Discs.

Ok everyone I have more dates set up to get out and do some volunteer work at the future disc golf course in Oakwood Lake Park in Oxford. We will be starting at 10am on the following dates; 6-4-16, 6-11-16, 6-25-16. I will supply all the necessary tools needed for the day. I will also have coffee and doughnuts for people who show up. Also anyone who shows up will get a voucher for a free round at our Seymour Sunday Doubles. All you need to do is show up and help build what will be a top notch disc golf course. Like before plan on wearing appropriate shoes and clothing to be working outdoors in rough wooded areas. Oakwood Lake Park is located on Oakwood road east of M-24 and Metamora road. I will also sign community service sheets for those of you that have them from court or school. I hope to see you all there.

A big congratulations to Jason Heller for his ace today at Seymour Sunday Doubles. He aced hole 16 and ended up walking away with multiple cash prizes for the day. Not only did him and his partner tie for 2nd/3rd place his ace was also on the cash CTP hole. He entered both the ace pool and mega pool gaining him even more of a pay out. All together he took $332 for the ace pool, $225 for the mega pool, $23 for CTP, and $11 for the tie. All that gave him $591 for the day. After his payout he then generously put $100 in the courses new donation box. For this act the club will add $40 to the mega pool and Jason gets to pick the next hole to receive a bench once the funds have been raised. Thanks again to all those who came to leagues, congrats again on that ace and thanks for your donation Jay Ride.

Due to budget issues players will not receive a free disc for entry. Each player will be allowed to use 3 of their own Rocs or Buzzzs (Roc 3s, and Buzzz GTs allowed). Just to let everyone know on Sunday September 15th and Thursday the 19th (9/15/13 & 9/19/13) the Murder Mitten DGC will be hosting a volunteer clean up day on the course. On Sunday the 15th we will be going through the course clearing out brush and chopping down branches. All the branches and brush that is cut down will be piled up in various corners of the course and that Thursday the 19th a group of WAMMers will be out there cleaning up our mess (hehehe). We will need more people on Sunday to help will the chopping and clearing. Thursday we will only need a few people to keep the WAMMers in line, no heavy work just supervising. If you choose to come out Sunday you may want to bring some yard tools, mainly a weed whipper (bring your own string and gas) and some branch loppers. After the work is done we will supply food and beverage for all who show up. Please message me if you want to volunteer or for more info. You will make a difference, thank you in advance.

- Welcome Sign with a Posting Board and Donation Box (near the picnic table by the volleyball courts)
- Tee-pad Signs with a simple hole layout and footages
- Expand and Move Hole 1's Tee-pad back by the tree
- Install Benches and garbage cans at all the tee-pads.
